PF MOVIE REVIEW: AMERICAN HUSTLE
Movie Review - American Hustle Release Date: December 20, 2013 Reviewed by: Trace Sauveur
Rated R for pervasive language, some sexual content, and brief violence
American Hustle should have been great. With a top tier cast (including the likes of Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jeremy Renner), David O. Russell (the director of one of my favorite films of 2012, Silver Linings Playbook), and a plot set in the 70s, everything was in place for a surefire Oscar contender and one of the best films of the year. But somewhere along the way someone shot a misfire and turned this into a waste of potential.

PF MOVIE REVIEW - THE HOBBIT
Movie Review - The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug Release Date: December 13, 2013 Reviewed by: Trace Sauveur
Rated PG-13 for extended sequences of intense fantasy action violence, and frightening images
It seems that as time has gone on from December 2012, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has become generally more unfavorable among Lord Of The Rings fans and movie fans in general. I still enjoy it overall but I do agree that it could have been much better. Luckily (or not if you really despise the first film), it seems Peter Jackson and crew were waiting to reveal all the tricks up their sleeves for the sequel.

PF MOVIE REVIEW: CARRIE
Movie Review: Carrie Release Date: October 18, 2013 Reviewed by: Trace Sauveur
Rated R for bloody violence, disturbing images, language and some sexual content
My first thoughts after seeing the trailer for Carrie for the first time (back when the movie was set to release in the spring) were something like âWhy does this exist?â. It didnât look bad per say, but is a remake of Carrie really necessary? The short is answer is no, as we already have the original film along with the Stephen King novel itâs based off. The only reason I saw for this remake being made was so Hollywood could make a quick buck, and I still stand by that as I write this. That being said, the movie isnât too shabby.
