Help!! I've got someone asking me for sources on whether or not snakes can feel love (i mentioned them not producing the chemicals). Do you know any good sources i can mention?
Oh hell I donât have any off hand, I feel like either @tokays or @wheremyscalesslither might have one or two?
Hopefully we can find some for you! :)
Hi again! One of my normally very placid pythons has suddenly become a bit stroppy. She hasn't bitten, but she's started hissing a lot and arcing her neck, it's incredibly out of character. Nothing about her environment had changed when it started, thought she is in a new, bigger enclosure now. She's nearly 2 and it is breeding season soon, but her species doesn't sexually mature till later. i'm not sure what it could be :/
I canât really give a lot of advice not knowing the specific species :( But some species can go through a personality change when they get close to or hit breeding age, from what Iâve heard. Its also possible that she needs a bit more cover in her new cage to feel secure :)
Saw your reply on Skullbird's bredli post, i'm amazed at how expensive they can be overseas! A classic in my area will go for $80-$200 AUD easily, Hypos usually max out at $600 depending on quality.
Yep. And the thing about that pair for $750 is the guy selling it is discounting a lot of his collection to get rid of it because of a new law passed where he lives that is greatly limiting reptile ownership. I havenât seen any others for sale in my area. Fortunately, Iâm not much of an Aussie python person; theyâre pretty, but generally not as pretty as the Asiatic pythonsÂ
God i felt the need to share; someone posted a video of two male pythons fighting and one of the top comments was someone telling people to get their heads out of their asses because obviously it's two gay male snakes mating, fully seriously.
What even o.o While male snakes do lock with each other for dominance reasons, that video was of two males fighting. Like. Snakes mating isnât active at all they just sit there, its the fighting thatâs active. Some people just arenât willing to learn omg :(

Tid is honestly so blunt and awkward like she'd just be hanging around with Shaw then suddenly, "So how long have you been *dead* for anyway?" like it's totally normal to ask that
Yeah, he's use to it, and doesn't bother him, tbh Shaw's equally awkward, and he'd just reply by like looking at his rot and gives her an "estimate"
If the whole "Blanche uses female pronouns" thing is abt her being referred to as nb, plenty of nb people use he or she pronouns, it's not uncommon.
ye thats true! i think the anon mightâve talking about how i used they/them for blanche

where did you find that walk cycle thing? :O
The reference image? Google. Just put âmuybridgeâ and an animal you need in the search bar, and youâll likely get something useful.
