Leave it to him to lose his charge. Of course leave it to him to be tasked with watching over a damn Avenger. If anyone on the planet was likely to get themselves killed, it was them, and he had to babysit one from a distance. So when Clint went missing, he was pissed. At first he brushed it off, glad he didn’t have to deal with the archer, but then he received a scolding from his superiors.
Part of him was relieved when he finally was able to track the Avenger. He could care less what state he was in, so long as his heart was still beating. Hands in his coat pockets, Bartleby tsked and cocked his head to the side as his charge spoke.
“I am the guy who’s been looking for your sorry ass all week. Christ it’s like you humans are trying to drive me into an early fucking grave.”
