I bring a sort of "you should be nicer to your journeymen" vibe to the mill that the miller of Koselbruch doesn`t really like
Pumphutt is the Tom Bombadil of Krabat
Pumphutt (Big Hat)
》 Nun müsst ihr von Pumphutt noch wissen, dass er ein Zauberer ist - der größte vielleicht, den es je in der Lausitz gegeben hat, und das will was heißen. 《
'You must know, too, that Big Hat is a magician, perhaps the greatest magician, there has ever been in Lusatia, and that's saying something.'
Okay so there's.. a Krabat wiki (looks a little abandoned, cute tho) and yooo Pumphutt has his own legend?? Neat.

A Force of Nature
I recently thought about what would have happened if Pumphutt and the miller from Brezan's book had met. What would have happened? Who would win a duel?
The miller has his vast knowledge, but Pumphutt always relies on the effect of surprise (and this is a good tactic, it's worth saying). To be honest, it seems to me that the Master and Pumphutt have known each other for a long time, and they are magically equal (the fact that the master lost one magic duel does not mean anything. Who knows how many times he beat Pumphutt before, when they were young, and maybe they traveled together for a while?). And Pumphutt wanted to tease him good-naturedly... Eh, if only he knew how the master changed, and how it all turned out in the end(((
So, in my headcanon, Pumphutt exists in the Brezan's universe. And he knows about the black miller, of course. But he is in no hurry to administer "justice" there and punish him like the other cruel mills. Why? Who knows...
