Got me some barn animal drawings for show & tell today. I like the idea of having conventional and unconventional barn animals in RnR, especially since it's inspired by Harvest Moon and Rune Factory, so some animals are familiar while others aren't.
First off, we have the Puffus.
They are the ostrich/ horse creatures of RnR. Players can harvest puffu eggs and ride them for festival events. They're not shaved for their feathers but their feathers catch colors from various dyes very easily, meaning players can customize the color scheme of their puffus.
Next up, the Caparies.
These moose sized animals are like the giant goats in RnR. They love rainy days and they like to swim like moose do. You can milk them for caparies milk and can make caparies cheese or butter out if it.
Next is the Moomer.
Good golly, what real animal could this probably look similar to??? I wanted them to look especially like the cows in Harvest Moon: Wonderful Life cuz they're the cutest cow design in HM imo. Much like cows in other farming sim games, moomers can be milked for moomer milk, which can be processed into moomer cheese and butter.
Second to last is the Wooly Bear.
Now this one was interesting to make. While I like me some sheep and their wide pupils, I wanted a new creature that wasn't a quadrupedal for RnR. So I made a koala like animal that has wool for fur. Their wool can be refined into making thread and yarn.
And last but not least, goose.
I know they rude sometimes but I like geese and they had to be in RnR. No to chickens, no to ducks, but yes to geese. Players can collect goose eggs from them and make mayo out the eggs.
Hope you enjoyed seeing my odd barn animals. I sure did and still do
