@staff @support​ @wip​ @engineering​ uh guys.. i’m hoping you’re just in the middle of doing something and the archive isn’t going to be limited to showing only the last 34 posts from now on, right?  right?   

here’s my current february 2024 in mass post editor view zoomed out so you can see all of what’s actually there:  

So whenever I click on the "Publications" link in the sidebar to try and find original posts (i.e., posts written by me (as opposed to reblogs)), I have to sift through everything to find what I'm looking for.

I know an easier way, perhaps, would be to tag my posts efficiently--something like "#MARCOPOLOAREYOULOOKINGFORME??" or whatever--so that I can just pull up all of them that way.

But what if Tumblr could differentiate between original posts and reblogs so that you can see all of your original stuff without all the reblogs in between?

Is there a way to do this already and I'm just a silly n00b? Cause that's probably very likely.

What the hell are you guys doing? Why on earth are you still publishing your posts on Facebook? That is just so fucked up wrong. Seriously. STOP PUBLISHING YOUR POSTS ON FACEBOOK!

I admit, when I was still new with this Tumblr-thing, I used to publish all my posts on Facebook. From my music to the pictures to my rantings. All of it were seen on my Facebook's Wall yet luckily, I snapped out of my naiveness and stopped publishing them. My reasons for publishing my posts were simple. Like a) I wanted people to know I had a Tumblr account. Well, it felt cool and I still feel cool up to this point. b) I wanted people to read my awesomeness. What can I say? I'm blessed with a talent of creative writing. And lastly, c) I wanted my friends who didn't have a Tumblr account read my dramas and hopefully, the person responsible for it. My blog isn't titled Heartbreak Warfare for nothing. So these are the reasons behind it and I'm pretty sure you could relate to reason A.

People who have Tumblr accounts are the coolest people on the planet and since we have Tumblr accounts we are immediately part of the cool crowd and everybody on Tumblr knows that. No need to publish our posts so people on Facebook will think we're cool. And if you want your good friends read your dramas, you could always give them the link to your blog. That's what I do. But if you really want the whole world know what's on your mind, link your post on Facebook or better yet, write a note on Facebook and tag who ever you want. Just don't publish all your posts on Facebook.

You might be asking why I'm asking such a favor. Well, it's because I noticed that with each day passing, a lot of people that used to have no clue what the hell is a Tumblog already has one. This is simply because of your published posts. We live in a world full of curious people and it be damned if they didn't get even a slight hint of curiosity with your posts. Fortunately, some people don't really care and let the curiosity pass by yet unfortunately this is only applicable to some people, not to all people. I mean, there's nothing wrong with them others creating their own blog but what's wrong is that most of them don't know the rule yet thus resulting to complete utter chaos.

Tumblr, for me and I'm pretty sure for everyone else, is a whole new world where you can finally be yourself without the fear of judgement. Your story is always welcomed and everybody is family. Tumblr keeps you and your secrets safe but if everybody you know, love and hate has a Tumblr, blogging honestly about how you feel without causing any talk would be as good as impossible. If you continue publishing your posts on Facebook, sooner or later, Tumblr will be overpopulated with people you don't trust.

So guys, lets stick to the rule. What happens on Tumblr, stays on Tumblr.

Yeah, I know I shouldn't care since I've already graduated but still. Even though there's a now a "block" button, it would still be nicer if things remained the same.
