Small beads of sweat collided, grouping as witch rubbed her palms together-- She was anxious, Elle was never anxious. But considering she had just helped save the life of a girl associated with hunters, it was a pretty decent reason to be in such a condition. They were technically on the same side, yes-- Being in town to exterminate demons and what not. But that didn't mean she trusted them not to kill her, regardless on whose side she was on.Â
Despite all of these factors, Elle still felt somewhat worried about Elena and although everything inside of her told her to exit the scene immediately the best she could do was keep her distance. Wiping her hands down her skirt, a wavering breath left her lips-- Ghosting the air before fading into the darkness. "What are you doing?" She grumbled, scolding herself before she finally decided to turn her back on the crowd of teens in the distance. If she knew what was good for her she would of left moments ago.

Scarlett had no idea why she had even considered attending the bonfire â it was really just her running into temptation, temptation everywhere. Sheâd thought the hunger had subsided.. sheâd thought that after the person sheâd hurt the night before, that she was okay. That everything would be okay. Upon arriving, she felt her urges resurfacing, and knew her attending was a bad idea. But maybe she could find the boy with better hair than her, and that he could tell her what was going on âhe seemed to know when heâd pulled her into that alleyway. Control it, or youâll die. Control what?Â
She did happen to run into the boy, but he didnât remember her. Scarlett already felt crazy enough, and now the boy she swore was the one from that night claimed it wasnât him? Feeling lost, confused, and ultimately frazzled, she hurried off in search for peace and quiet to settle her nerves. The woods â it was her only option. No people, no crazy urges.. time and space for her to think.Â
Only, she wasnât alone like she had expected to be. There was a girl, and her scent set her off. Feeling completely and utterly vulnerable to the overwhelming desire taking over her consciousness now, her rationality began slipping away.. everything she fought for and believed in, it fell from her grasp. The familiar desire was taking over her now, and Scarlett hissed before pouncing on the girl without a second to waste.Â
That feeling, of sinking oneâs teeth into perfect, supple skin.. that first taste of blood. Desire was intense. The girl had everything she wanted.. every drop of blood fuelling the desire coursing through her. The hunger was insatiable.. and despite conscious mental efforts to pull away.. she couldnât. Not until the girl seemed to fade out â thatâs when Scarlett Ortega returned and she somehow mustered the courage and strength to pull away.Â
And there it was again, the very same scenario. Guilt began to blanket her consciousness, an undeniable sob escaping her parted lips. âOh.. oh god, Iâm so sorry.â Blood, it was everywhere.. she could taste it in her mouth. She could feel the hunger, at bay but still present.. but all she could focus on, was what she had done to a poor innocent, yet again.Â
"Iâm.. so.." She couldnât speak, and within seconds, she was running awayâit was all she knew how to do.Â
Elena:Â When the topic of going to a party was brought up, Elena was more than eager to push her brother and the Winchesterâs to go. After the last few months, she thought they could all have used somewhat of a night off, yet now she was regretting that decision more than anything. She had prepared herself to run into Caroline, yet the way the conversation went upset her more than it should have. Becoming a hunter, killing creatures that hurt others, it was all to keep people safe. To do that, she understood she needed to push away those she cared about most, so they didnât get dragged down by the world she put herself in. There was nothing safe about it, but hearing that Caroline was with Damon Salvatore had her insides churning. After pushing her away to keep her safe, she somehow still found a way to get involved, and Elena couldnât help the anger that was taking over. She hated having to push her loved ones awayâbut she did it. And here Caroline was, ignoring everyoneâs warnings to stay away from the bad guy.
Needing to get away from the drunken crowd, Elena put her beer bottle down, no longer in the mood to drink. As much as she whished she was drunk, her mood went down the moment she realized everything sheâd done hadnât worked out the way it was supposed to. With a small sigh, she put on her constantly practiced smile as she walked by a few people, saying her helloâs before she was out of eye site. Immediately her smile dropped as she began to contemplate ways to keep Caroline safe. Having heard of Damon Salvatore and his sadistic ways, she wanted nothing more than to find him and personally stake him herself.
Before her thoughts turned morbid, Elena froze, hearing a familiar hiss come from behind her. Tensing up her body, she prepared to fight, but the vampire had leapt on her before she had time to really react. Hitting the ground face first, Elena couldnât help but let out a small scream, silently cursing herself for being stupid enough to go further into the woods without a weapon. As the weight of the vampire on top of her slightly lessened, Elena knew she would be able to push her off and give herself enough time to get away. This one was messyânewly turned, if she remembered the things Sam had taught her correctly, but that didnât help her as a pair of fangs tore into her neck, Elenaâs small cry turning into one of pure pain. Before she knew it, her struggling came to an end, and everything around her went black.
Matt:Â After Elena had broken his heart, it was hard for Matt to find the will power to want to do anything at all. He knew the annual bon-fire was around the corner and he wasnât even sure that he wanted to be there. It was the party he was looking forward to the most as it was the last time heâd have to do it and at least heâd be on top this year; or at least thatâs what he thought was going to be the case.
When he did arrive, the fire was already burning high, casting orange and yellow hues over the crowd around it â mostly half drunken teens and a few alumni from past years. It was a tradition in Mystic Falls and who was Matt to advert from tradition. Naturally, Matt had a beer in hand as he bounced around from group to group, saying his hellos and making nice with people he probably wouldnât otherwise. There was always something about these kinds of events where it was socially acceptable to be nice to everyone without the pressures from the football team or cheerleaders. It was just a time to float and, of course, he couldnât help but run into Elena and that conversation didnât turn out well at all, but then again, what did he really expect?
A while passed, beers consumed and shots were thrown back. To say Matt was a little drunk was an understatement and as most people do when theyâve consumed copious amounts of alcohol, he had to pee. The blonde stumbled around a bit in the dark, holding himself up with the cypress trees that littered the area. He couldnât help think about what an ass heâd been to Elena that night. Who was he to make her feel bad about ending things with him? Her parents had died and Matt couldnât understand the pain she was feeling since his mom was never around his entire life, leaving him to learn to live without parents at a very young age.
As Matt continued walking, he could see a shadow slumped over on the ground in front of him. He was about to shrug it off and unzip, but he was just eerily intrigued by the figure. Many things went through his mind as to what it could be, but nothing had crossed his mind about it being the only girl heâd ever loved. Matt decided to walk up to the shadow and saw that it was, in fact, Elena. The blood began rushing through his body, adrenaline kicking in quickly as he knelt to the floor to see what the hell had happened. Without thinking twice, Matt picked up her body and began to head back to the bon-fire as fast as his drunken legs would carry him.
âHelp!â Matt called out frantically. âSomebody help! Sheâs been attacked by something and she needs help!â Tears began to flood his eyes as he saw an older looking gentleman walk up, no older than twenty-six or so. âI â I donât know what happened. I was in the woods and I found her like this. Her nameâs Elena Gilbert, please help her.â Normally, Matt wouldâve just driven her to the hospital, but considering his condition, heâd have to leave that up to the adults.
Sam: Not intending to stay there for a while, it was time for Sam to finally go. This night has been a tiring with both Alexia and Dean talking about what happened throughout this summer. After talking to the two of them as well as others, he decided that it would be best to just head back to the motel and stay there for the rest of the night-- away from the drunken teenagers. But that couldn't happen once the littlest Winchester decided to come back to talk to him about investigating a vampire that she saw. Sam didn't want to off into the night and find a vampire, the one that he came to knew. So while the two of them were talking he suddenly heard someone yelling out for help causing him to turn his head immediately to see what happened. Out of instinct, he started walking over to where the man was walking out of the woods and noticed the body that was in the man's arms as he walked closer to see what was wrong. The male stopped in front of the blonde only to see who was in his arms-- Elena.
His eyes glanced down and noticed the bloody wound on her neck, slightly covered by her brown hair. "Here, give her to me, I got it." he announced before taking her into his arms. Before he turned around to walk back to the clear grounds, he told the blonde, "Call 911. Now." Without waiting for a confirmation, Sam turned around and walked back to where he was standing with Alexia a few moments ago and placed her down on the grass.
Once she was laid down, he got on his knees and checked for a pulse. While trying to find the faint heartbeat, he noticed out of the corner of his eye a crowd forming around them, Ignoring it, he moved his finger away from her carotid artery and started to unbutton his shirt so that he could try and compress the wound. After he finally unbuttoned the last one, he folded the plaid shirt into a somewhat compress and placed it over the wound applying some pressure. The crowd by then was larger than when he noticed Alexiaâs serious expression. He knew what she was planning and was gonna protest when she got up and made her way to the woods.
As he watched his younger sister go deeper in the woods, he didnât notice the teenager next to him saying she knew first aid. Without saying anything, he removed the now bloodied shirt and stood up to get out of her way. He watched as the girl kneeled down and placed her hand over Elenaâs wound. In a matter of time, the wound started to healâŚit only meant one thing: the girl was a witch. But before Sam could say anything, the girl stood up and walked away.
Alexia: Though the bonfire was meant to be something along the lines of a party, Alexia could not help but compare it to something quite different. Off of the top of her head, she could think of more than a dozen things she would rather have been doing. For the brunette, watching a bunch of seventeen year olds get trashed and then throw themselves at each other was nowhere near her definition of fun. And those conversations with her brothersâthose had not been particularly enjoyable, either. In an attempt to keep her brother from running off and locking himself in their motel room, Lex had gone to Sam with the information on a certain new vampire with brown hair. And, surprisingly enough, it had worked. Or so she had thought.
Considering the fact that Samâs words had been so abruptly cut off, she knew something was not right. Following the direction in which his eyes had turned, Lexi angled her own body away from the bonfire and towards the woods where a blonde figure was emerging⌠but the blonde was not alone. No, in fact, he seemed to be carrying someoneâsomeone so very familiar that Alexiaâs body immediately froze. Elena.
As soon as Sam brought her unmoving body back to Lex, she dropped to her knees beside the girl. With a deep frown set upon her face, Alexia gently brushed Elenaâs hair from the side of her neck to reveal what she had already known would be thereâthe identical bite marks she had been seeing in the bodies around the Fallâs for weeks. With narrow eyes, Alexia turned her gaze to Sam and she pushed herself to her feet. As she stood, the gun placed beneath the back of her shirt moved, reminding her that she had the ability to put an end to this. And there was no longer a reason to keep that damn vampire alive, at least not in Alexiaâs opinion.Â
âI knew it. I knew this was going to happen.â She snapped, her gaze flickering from Sam to Elena and then back again. Suddenly Alexia took a few steps backwards, and she shot her brother a meaningful look. Had he not been holding Elena, Lex knew Sam would have taken off into the woods himself. But he was, and she most certainly was not. âNobody hurts my family. Iâm putting an end to this.â And with that the brunette turned away and began running at full speed towards the forest, her hand slipping around her back to retrieve the weapon she had brought along.Â
Clarke: It seemed as soon as a conversation with Alexia would come closer to him getting enough courage to speak his mind something would come up. He silently cursed to himself as he turned his back to the crowd as the brunette danced off further into the party. Minutes went by like hours as the night seemed to have an option of never-ending. Pulling out his cellphone to make him look somewhat less awkward, he brought up Julianâs name to shoot him a quick text. âIf you do not get here soon, I swear I am going to kick your ass.â As soon as he pressed send, the first scream for help broke through the woods. Just as quickly as the first came, the entire crowd was now screaming and yelling at each other like they were all too dumb to pull out their own cellphones and call the cops.
âWhatâs going on?â The bartender asked one of the students who just cried as if it were something so terrible that she was crying over it. He now silently thought as to why older men went for the too emotionally voiced girls that still remained in grade school. She laughed to himself as he was kind of in that vote before seeing what was truly happening. âElenaââ Of course, he knew who she was because it seemed she as someone that had grown close to Alexia. However, the scene that was now playing out made his stomach churn as his eyes shot around the crowd for someone actually doing something. One of Alexiaâs older brothers had grabbed the wounded Gilbert as the body language between both Alexia and Sam made clear that they were not agreeing on something.
Just as he stepped out from the crowd, Alexia was shooting through the first layer of trees to disappear into the dense forest that surrounded them. If he hadnât glanced back towards Sam, he would have caught the look that warned him not to go after her, but how could he not go after her? She was the girl. At least, she was the girl that had no idea that she was the girl he liked. He shook off the thought with a very small smile before hitting the same path she took. He could see her silhouette only yards ahead of him before hearing a faint conversation occur. âAlexiaââ He spoke up, thinking it was loud enough for her to hear him, but it seemed it was not.
He waited before he spoke up again, but the conversation made its way to him before he had a chance to make his presence known. He couldnât make out the words of her companion, but Alexiaâs side of the conversation would be enough. âWe are getting rid of this vampire tonight. I do not care what it takes. I am not letting her hurt anyone else in my family again.â Vampire. The single word repeating in his head as his thoughts took over as the other girl spoke back before finally picking up on Alexiaâs words once more. âWe will rid this town of all the monsters that live here if we have to. This vampire is just the first to get the Winchester welcoming party.â
Just as he was about to tell the girl he liked her, he finds out that she is actually chasing them down. His heart was pounding as he couldnât stay in place. He had to run. He had to run away from this because it couldnât be true. Months upon months, he had ignored all of the drunken words of monsters in Mystic Falls. He hadn't realized how fast his feet had taken him until he was back within the light of the bonfire where Elena remained on the ground. A vampire had attacked her was all that was going through his head. He had to get out of here. He had to get something a little stronger to drink than the beer that wouldn't touch the new knowledge he now had.
Stefan: Returning to Mystic Falls had never been a plan of Stefanâs. Checking periodically on the town he was born in was enough. He never had any other reason to come back. That was until he saved Elena Gilbert from an early death. Stefan had remembered her father shaking his head and pointing back at Elena. Stefan had often blamed himself for the death of her parents. The young woman seemed miserable. Stefan was often reminded of Katherine Pierce with Elenaâs appearance.
The resemblance was almost indistinguishable, but their personalities were different. Stefan had managed to talk to Elena very briefly at a senior bonfire. Stefan hated these kind of things, he was more socially awkward than anyone there. The woods were now filled with excited voices and fast beating hearts. Stefanâs senses were heightened and he could hear almost everything going on. He kept a close eye on Elena, knowing that Damon was in town. Damon had hated Stefan for most of their vampire lives. Stefan watched as Elena wandered off by herself. He was about to go after her when a familiar scent reached his nose. There was another vampire around.
Soon Matt Donovan a young man that Stefan had interacted with momentarily, had came running back into sight with Elena limp in his arms. Stefan could feel the veins appearing on his face, his sharpening canines were protruding as he made his way through the crowd. Stefan noticed a young woman staring directing at him and soon regained his composure. He soon heard the scream that echoed through his ears. Stefanâs curiosity about Elena may have cost Stefan his secrecy. Everyone was now looking in his direction and Stefanâs eyes were only on the girl that was limp.
Jordan: For the duration of the night, Jordan had been plucking the strings of her mind, trying to find a logical excuse for her to be here. Sure, she was a resident of Mystic Falls and sure, she was around the age of a typical high schooler. However, if she'd learned anything within the past six months it was that she was so very far from typical. The solo cup that dangled from her manicured fingers appeared to be empty. How she'd drank the contents of her cup, the golden liquid like acid going down, she wasn't sure. She'd had three of these already, yet none of it seemed to be helping the nerves that tied her stomach in knots.
This wasn't her; she wasn't a social girl. Even before the... incident, Jordan wasn't the type to show up and parties. She wasn't even the type to invite someone over for a sleepover. Yet here she was, doing everything she could to pretend to be normal for a night. Deciding it wasn't worth the struggle anymore, Jordan set off in the direction of home. If 'home' is what you could call the pay-by-the-hour motel she'd been staying in ever since her arrival. Suede clad feet walked softly against the twigs and fallen leaves, the multicolored covered ground a sure sign that fall was approaching rapidly. Just as she was about to take her leave, the cries and shouts from the crowd left her motionless.
She could easily hear everything that was going on, her super senses being one of the only tolerable things from her transformation. It allowed her to stay behind, Jordan feeling terribly uncomfortable when surrounded by a sea of strangers. However, as soon as she discovered that it was Elena emitting the powerful scent of blood, Jordan became worried. Though she didn't know her all that well, they'd exchanged a few words earlier in the evening, and Jordan had found that she particularly liked her. Leaning forward on her tippy toes, the petite werewolf tried to get a closer look.
She got a closer look all right, but not of Elena. A man materialized before her, his large and muscular frame blocking her designated view. Eyebrows raised, green orbs lifted to reveal the giant brick wall. She expected a drunk jock, perhaps a linebacker or a quarterback or whatever. What she didn't expect to see were a pair hooded eyes a shade of crimson, veins cascading down his face and sharp white fangs protruding from his gums. As her eyes widened, Jordan couldn't help the scream that passed through her lips and into the brisk night air.
Elle: "Oh, jesus christ." The strawberry blonde muttered to herself before her distate for the dramatisation of the event was met with a complimentary eye roll. Her mind briefly set upon the earlier memory of her chat with Caroline about the location being a fantastic set up for a teenage massacre and as wonderful as being right was-- In this case the situation was a little more than grim. So where did that leave her? Despite the immunity her parents had forced into her growing up during these alarming situations, she wasn't completely heartless-- Her brother was one to know that.
So she would do as anyone with any shread of humanity would do and help. Using dainty hands as barriers she shoved the surrounding crown from her path, with a force greater than she would have liked to admit. Approaching the opening, green orbs were quick to evaluate the situation. The wound on Elena's neck-- No doubt one of Mystic Falls' famous /Animal Attacks/ but Elle couldn't think about vampires now, she had a job to do. Reaching the male on his knees beside the limp teen, Elle's gazing shot from Elena to Sam. "I'm medically trained, I can help." She states firmly, the calmness in her voice almost eery. Noticing the reluctance in the man's eyes, her expression drops and her brows draw together.
"Look gigantor, she's going to bleed out-- If you don't let me help her she's going to die before the paramedic even get here." Her eyes followed the hunter as he stepped away from Elena's body, evidentally she had to be careful not to make her perferred method of assistance overly obvious. So facing away from the group of surround teens and dropping to her knees her fingers hovered the wound and the crowd behind the pair was forgotten. Her hues set firmly on the injury while her lips murmured a short latin chant. Her energy surged from her core and through her arms, edging toward slim fingers. With a wound as fatal as this and surrounding as distracting, it took majority of her being just to even focus.
But of course it wasn't long before her words began to take an effect on the female's body and the wound began to heal. With a sigh of relief Elle continued up until it had vanished completely, only leaving heavy traces of blood in it's place. The redhead's hands then moved to cradle Elena's cheeks as she examined her currently state. She was still out cold but chances are she would be fine, physically anyway. With that, she pushed herself from her knees and onto her feet. Trailing toward the hunter who had previously stepped aside, she stopped at his side momentarily before crossing her arms over her chest. "She should be fine, from what I can see she's merely passed out." A weak fabrication, but what else could she say? Especially seeing as she chose to help a pack of hunters. "Look after her." She mumbled before choosing to escape from the scene.
Julian: Julian had only begun to overhear the crowd of people beginning to shout on unbearable pitches and screams. Most of the screaming wasnât understandable, as everyone was screaming over everyone else. Though he had recently arrived at the bonfire, it seemed like the event was ending already. That was what he assumed from the shouts. His stomach formed into a knot, only beginning to feel that this wasnât just any normal occasion. Something terrible had happened. Yet it wasnât because of him, which was the only bright side of things. For him, at least. Though, it must have been something terrible to have a crowd of people shouting. His ears perked up then as he resurfaced to reality, only to finally hear what everyone had been shouting. It was only three words, but those three words werenât used on a typical, normal day. Considering they were at a party as well, most people avoided to even utter those words in fear of getting caught with alcohol. âSomeone call 911!â
The more he inched near the area where most of the commotion was, he could feel himself beginning to get physically sick. His stomach was stirring, head throbbing. His hands even trembled. He wasnât sure as to what could have made him feel like that. At first he only assumed he drank some bad beer, since he automatically ruled out the first, almost impossible idea. Yet the feeling was too familiar. It always happened whenever they were near him, or even within a few meters. Even any of them. Anything that were not holy on the earth. The constant, painful reminders of what he had done begun to flash within his own thoughts. The thoughts had begun to make him breath heavily, just has he rested himself against a tree to try to catch his breath. Nothing had seemed to be working to calm himself down.
He almost fell somewhat well enough when he caught his breath, but not entirely. He could feel his energy begin to leave his body, but he tried to fight against it. He turned around on his heel after he stood up properly from being against the tree. He made slow, agonizing steps. Every step was torturous, as he could feel his stomach turn more into knots. It was suddenly getting to the point where he felt like he was going to throw up. And the cause of it wasnât the alcohol. It was due to those awful, agonizing thoughts that kept rushing through his mind. It wasnât too long before Julianâs last thought was only a memory of when he saw his parents getting murdered. After that, his eyes rolled back and he fell right to the ground with a loud thud.
Dean: While he had been busy getting into alcohol Dean had allowed his mind to drift away from the party. Leaning on his impala he was on the edge of it all. Mostly he was frustrated after his conversation with Sam -- after having someone so constant in his life he didn't want to leave them all once they found their father and rid of what had killed their mother, and perhaps now Jess as well. It left a dull ache in his chest that he couldn't quite shake. Drinking was an easier answer to sooth his mood. As his bottle ran empty he straightened his leather jacket and moved towards the party again. Thinking he could toss the empty bottle in the fire or even a bush at this point. Skimming his hazey eyes over the crowd he couldn't spot anyone -- no Lex, no Sam, no Elena or Jeremy. Where could they have gone to? A flicker of worry ran over him before he was able to catch some movement on the edge of the woods. Ignoring the alcohol running through his veins he bolted over, unclipping the gun from his belt but keeping it under his jacket unseen. He was quick to discover just what had gone down and insisted on taking Elena back towards his car and away from what happened to be sure that she could came down and to figure out if she was okay.
I'm about five minutes away from blowing this joint and going to get a Quarter Pounder with cheese. --And bacon. Can't ever forget the bacon. Oh God.
