Had a dream last night that I was an officer aboard the Enterprise and I'd been dating Data for like a year and finally decided to introduce him to my parents over video-call (also these were totally made up parents for some reason, like they weren't my real parents) and they were NOT supportive and worse, Data was sitting right next to me hearing this.
Anyways I specifically remember my "mom" in this dream saying something to the effect of "Are you sure that's safe? That thing could hurt you."
Why did I dream that. Why. And Data was totally impassive, because of course he was. Not that he wouldn't be feeling hurt, but he of course could remain visually impassive nonetheless.
