You ever think about how much Brain probably looked at Ephemer's statue thinking back to old times and how he hung out with the others like a silent cat on the side and how he misses his friends, knowing they all ended up in a different time than him ... yeah ,
I think about how Brain probably carries so much guilt over what happened and believes that things could’ve gone differently if he’d been more competent. What happened wasn’t his fault and his friend did get to live a fulfilling life, and their other friends have a chance at that too. But Brain can’t help but lay awake at night staring up at the stars missing them all so badly that every part of him physically aches. I think about that and I turn into a crumpled wet paper bag…….

OC ask game 11 for Charis? 🙌
11) What was your inspiration for your OC?
I pretty much just needed someone for Ephemer to bounce off of and contrast the emotional funk he was in. Originally, Charis was comic relief. Literally just a silly guy (gender neutral). Long story short, this contrast ended up turning into a reflection of Ephemer’s character, with Charis becoming his mirror character and someone he could connect with on a deeper level thanks to their similarities.
As I was developing him more in this way, I started taking inspiration from characters like Katara from a:tla, Astrid from httyd, Sarai from The Dragon Prince (do you see what these three have in common? :)), and Luz from The Owl House.
Design-wise, I pulled from a lot of characters!! Young Xehanort, Remus, Sora’s beta design, Haru from a:tla, Oscar from rwby, and even myself for her hair 😄
