Apate
Apate was the daughter of Nyx and the daimon of fraud, deception, trickery, and deceit. Her companions are the Pseudologoi (lies) and Dolos (trickery), with Aletheia (truth) being her opposite. In myths she is described as being crafty, but fickle. She has a multi-colored girdle which can be used to bewitch others, and is used by both Hera and Rhea to deceive their husbands; Rhea so she could save Zeus and Hera used it so that Zeus would destroy a mortal woman named Semele, mother of Dionysus, he was having an affair with, and to convince her son Ares to come back home.
