This #Ford #focus came into us on Thursday for #dpf diagnostics to find out why the light was staying illuminated. We initially found that the #eolys fluid was low (diesel exhaust fluid, DEF) We topped this up and carried out some further checks... we found that the exhaust flow rate was significantly reduced and back pressure was a little high! After many years in this industry we knew that it was #ash accumulation within the dpf! The only way to quickly and effectively remove this ash is to remove the dpf and send it off to be cleaned... we had it removed and collected Friday morning and received it back today! As you can see from the printout the results speak for themselves... before: flowrate-77m3/h and after: flowrate-521m3/h!
