SHELBY: i hate nature

♡  ┊   close  to  them,  there  was  a  lake  --  or  a  stream,  a  river,  anything  with  fresh  natural  water  that  made  her  want  to  throw  herself  into  it  at  any  given  moment.  vesper  was  truly  not  a  fan,  but  she  tried  her  best  at  pretending,  or  even  looking  for  things  to  occupy  her  mind  with  and  not  be  the  person  who  ruins  everyone’s  fun.  she  sat  by  it,  chin  resting  on  her  knees,  watching  as  the  leaves  floated.  the  steps  behind  her  made  clear  that  someone  was  approaching,  to  which  she  didn’t  turn,  only  muttered   ❝   do  you  know  how  to  throw  rocks  and  make  them  skip  ?  i’d  really  like  to  learn  that  trick  .  .  .   ❞

♡  ┊   the  sun  was  shinning,  and  the  bug  bites  were  burning  on  her  legs.  she  realized  that  the  amount  of  spray  she  had  brought  wasn’t  enough  for  what  she’d  expected.  vesper  stepped  closer,  leaning  against  a  fallen  trunk  with  a  suspicious  look  in  her  eyes.  some  people  did  enjoy  what  nature  offered  more  than  others.   ❝   i  vaguely  remember  you  promising  nice  things.   ❞  she  sighed,  trying  to  conceal  the  desperation  for  a  hot  bath  and  her  silky  duvets  in  her  voice.   ❝   it’s  not  happenings,  so  far  .  .  .   ❞
