hi andi! i think it’s so wholesome that you share your sims interest with your sister 🥺
i hope it’s okay to ask but i was wondering if you had any advice on making light look more dynamic? i just love how you pretty much change the time of day in your screenshots and i was wondering if you had any tips for achieving lighting like in this post specifically? /710105791249694720/fppycb46adp7
hi, anon, thank you so much! i force my interests/hobbies on her more than share them but asjfhgk i answered a similar question > here < and > here < but the short answer is to color pick the lightest points of your image and go over them with a soft round brush and set that layer to overlay, then color pick the darkest points of your image and go over them with a soft round brush and set that layer to soft light! i use gshade/reshade presets that are more neutral and don't really change the colors of the game since i found that it makes editing a lot more versatile :)
i also learned that colors can drastically change the mood! i like to use bright, dark, and neon colors; i then fill an entire layer and set it to overlay to see how it would affect the 💫 vibe ✨ as shown in the image above
i uploaded the psd file > here < if you want to use it as a reference, but fair warning that there are probably ridiculous amounts of unlabeled layers lmao
