Although Hanbin had been talking about it non-stop, Sara couldn't help but feeling like she was about to cry. His first Valentine's card ever! Her baby wasn't a baby anymore, and kids in school were starting to send him Valentine's cards. Soon, those wouldn't be just friendly-themed to the class's mascot.
Being as observant as he was and empathetic beyond his years, Bin had suggested going for ice cream when he noticed the pout on his mother's lips when he showed her the card. Was she that apparent?
Yes. Yes, she was.
As they approached the counter and Bin leaned onto the cold glass to check in the flavors he would want, the bell behind the door chimed once again, making Sara look over her shoulder to check who would also dare come into an ice cream shop in late winter, only to smile at the image of Alicia and her little one.
"Look Bin. It's Mrs. Garcia." She gently touched on the little boy's shoulder to catch his attention and make him turn around. "Hi, Alicia. Finally we run into each other outside of Wonderwell, right?" She chuckled, then turning her attention to the toddler in the woman's arms. "Hi, beautiful! How are you today?"
