Proverbs 12:22 (KJV) - Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are His delight.
Proverbs 12:22 The LORD detests lying lips, but He delights in those who tell the truth.God hates lying in any form. He hates it because He is the source of all truth. In fact, that describes His very character. Jesus said, “I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life” (John 14:6). In contrast, satan is identified as “the father of lies” (John 8:44) Are you lying about something or someone? Are you dishonest in your dealings? Do you exaggerate about what you’ve done? Are you lying about someone to make yourself look better? Are you lying about your age? That is a sin before God. If you haven’t been truthful, repent today, God is willing to forgive you and help you live the righteous life He desires.
The LORD hates every liar, but he is the friend of all who can be trusted. — Proverbs 12:22 | Contemporary English Version (CEV) The Holy Bible, Contemporary English Version Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society.
