Gonna be honest, I'm glad people are getting out in the streets, but the 50501 protests aren't actually protests, they're just demonstrations, demonstrations exist to raise awareness, but we're long past that stage, everyone capable of interacting with reality already knows what is happening and standing on a lawn with signs while not entirely meaningless has minimal impact in a time when we need to be doing so much more.
We need actual protests. We need to shut down economic districts until the corporations that write our laws feel economic hardship for doing so and back down.
We need to disrupt ice directly, at their place of work, in the streets where they are abducting people, and at their homes, make their neighbors and friends and family aware of who they are and what they are doing. They should not feel comfortable while disappearing people. Vehicles parked at ice offices can be followed to residences, it's not hard to out these people, it just takes a bit of effort.
The policies that will be enforced require digital infrastructure in order to be communicated and organized. Tip lines can be spammed with false information that sounds real and wastes time and effort to be verified. Call centers require people to operate, they can be kept overwhelmed and unable to address real calls by a relatively small number of dedicated people with access to a phone. Heck if a group of people get together they can buy a bunch of cheap prepaid phones and just call on all of them to shut down an entire call center with only a handful of people.
And these are just the 100% legal methods.
The number of people who are attending these demonstrations shows there's at least some will to do the work, but people don't know what work actually needs doing and aren't organized enough yet to do it.
Try and think what you can do to disrupt the agenda trump has set. It's a system like any other, it requires resources and people to run, disrupting that system can render trump helpless to enforce his will if enough organized people do it.
