Philza and Technoblade had known each other for a long time. Anyone who knew either of the two knew that.
Especially with how close The Blood God and The Angel of Death seemed.
However, the story of how they actually met had been lost with time. Whenever someone tried to ask one of the two, the subject was quickly changed, giving the person a feeling that asking again wouldn’t turn out well for them.
Leaving the only two who knew the truth Phil and Techno.
They originally met when Techno was nothing more than a slave to the voices. Techno wasn’t even sure how old he was at the time, all he knew was it was so much easier to listen to the voices then ignore them.
That was how Phil found him. Not sure what to do with this Piglin child he found.
The voices knew who Phil was.How could they not? THe great Philza Minecraft, Angel of Death wasn’t someone easily forgotten.
Techno like Phil from the start, the voices were always quieter around him. They were always quieter around people that they liked.
So Techno made it his duty to protect Phil. No matter what.
Phil didn’t notice at first, after all they were always fighting each other and in the midst of battle it was hard to tell if someone threw themselves in front of the other if they weren’t being completely obvious about it.
It didn’t become increasingly obvious to Phil until the two were grinding for more resources. There was a mob, a baby zombie to be exact, that Phil didn’t notice. Before the mob could get anywhere near Phil, Techno dropped everything he was doing to fight off the mob so Phil wouldn’t get hurt.
Phil would admit that was a little strange, but he didn’t think anything of it until he noticed Techno do the same thing over and over again. To the point where he was even starting to notice Techno did it in the heat of battle, where one wrong move could get you killed if you weren’t careful.
It was then when he decided to confront Techno about it, trying to figure out why he would risk his life for him.
If you could say anything about Techno, it was that he was honest. So when Phil asked him that question he immediately answered. “The voices like you. They’re quieter when you’re around. It’s easier to ignore them when I’m near you. I would do anything to protect you because it means that I don’t have to deal with them.”
Phil definitely wasn’t expecting Techno to be so….blunt about it. It took him a second to respond to him as he processed.
“Techo mate, I can defend myself, you don’t need to-”
“But what if something happens and you can’t! You’re the only one who’s been able to calm them down! I’d do anything to make sure you’d stay safe.”
The second Techno said anything, an idea clicked in his head. “Techno, mate can you promise me something?”
“Of course!”
“Don’t destroy yourself to protect me. You can keep me safe, but you come first.”
Phil laughed a bit as he saw the pout on Techno’s face. “Sorry mate, but you promised.”
“Fine,” Techno grumbled, “But don’t think this means you’re getting rid of me that easily.”
