Since Antonetta is actually Prosper Beck, she knew in Sword Catcher that her own crawlers, including Jerrod, had almost killed Kel in an alley. If you remember, she snuck Lin into the palace after Conor forbid her to go to check on Kel after three days.

Which means:

•Thats how she learned Kel had been injured

•Thats why she snuck Lin in the palace to check on him. Because her own men had hurt Kel and it was the least she could do. Because she felt guilty and at fault.

It was her own orders that sent the crawlers after Kel, who they mistook as Conor.

The only question that remains (for me) is whether Becks patron on the Hill is Mathieu Gremont or Joss Falconet, who I’ve been suspicious about since the beginning.

It being Gremont would explain why Andreyen wanted Kel to talk to him so bad but it would not explain why Beck wanted to expose his patron.

It being Falconet would explain why he’s being such an increasingly weird little guy and Joss sat next to Artal Gremont at the very first banquet Kel attended.

Furthermore, there is the physical description of Artal Gremont:

Vs Prosper Beck:

Both large, heavy-set, thick-necked men, but with ten years difference between their descriptions.

And

I mean, apart from how he doesn't seem to be Beck? I've a feeling it was just a somebody...
