I love this fountain for the children that I’ve walked by so many times - this is the first time I’ve seen water flowing through it! I long that we would truly honor our children, listen to their unhindered honesty and the wisdom it points us too. I long that we’d care so truly for our children and the untapped potential and developing discovery within each of them, that we’d be so careful to collectively offer what each one needs to grow up vibrantly strong and healthy and not to tame their wild hearts or break their beautiful spirits. We can do so much better, America, for all the children within and showing up at our borders. How dare we separate some, so many from their primary care givers? How dare we isolate them, force the experience of abandonment, and cause such trauma to their little brains and nervous systems? How will we ever make up for this, bring families back together, and do the repair work?
