She had been scoping out the place for weeks and always found the same thing. It was heavily guarded at all times of the day and night. Had the pot inside not have sounded so sweet she would have bailed on this long ago; there were better things she could do. But the pot was sweet and that's what the problem was. She knew if she could just get her hands on some of the things this rich guy owned she would be set for a long while. No more cheap hotels or street corners for her. No more cheap food. No ma'am, she could feel luxury for a least a little while.Â
But how to break in? She was over thinking this, she had to be. It wasn't like this man was batman and she was trying to break into the batcave. She decided that nightfall would be the best and she would not wear her costume. As much as it pained her she knew that it would draw too much attention against a clean back drop like this. Instead, she wore tight leather pants and a tank top. The only traces of what was her costume was the pigtails and dark lipstick. She carried light, only having one bag with her that held nothing more than a pocket knife and rope if it was needed. First things first she had to get over this wall. She had managed to make it through the guards and place herself in the shadows as her heart beat quickly in her chest. Why was she so nervous? It's not like this was her first time. Perhaps because it was not her home place. Gotham was different. Gotham was hers. This was strange and different. Supposed the police were called? She didn't know their routes and which were crooked. Â She stayed there until she was sure the guard making his round was far enough as to not to hear her. She rolled across the ground, getting closer to the building. She could taste its treasures on her lips when suddenly she heard a guard call out. She had been spotted, she knew she has. She ran as fast as she could, sticking to only the shadows until a saving light presented itself. An open window. She jumped through and closed the window quickly and ducked, waiting to see their shadows pass.
