Klingon Bat’leth
Qapla'! I’ve made a Klingon blade! It’s made of plywood, cut to shape with a jigsaw, and sanded and painted ad nauseum. The straps are scrap leather I had lying around. You can cut shapes like this by patterning from the show (adjusting the size if necessary if, like me, you are not Klingon-height), tracing onto plywood, and CAREFULLY cutting with a jigsaw or coping saw.
I really wanted to make it out of metal, but it turns out those are illegal in a lot of the U.S. It’s the same reason I made sure to leave some of the wood grain showing and not sand the edges down to too much of a point. Metallic paint works well as a substitute for the metal, though.

Jedi Holocron
For the time being, I think I’m gonna alternate between posting new crafts and stuff I’m working on and older stuff.
The new stuff will have progress pictures and such (hopefully); sadly, I don’t have many of those for the older crafts.
Anyways, here’s the first of many things I’ve made! It’s a 3D-printed replica of a Jedi holocron from Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV show. The panels are frosted colored plexiglass. Magnets let me change how it’s oriented (since my lack of Force powers keeps me from opening it like Anakin does in the show).
Factory Entertainment let me show James Bond Golden Gun images and the never-before-seen Black Manta helmet from Aquaman! Both are pricey and awesome, and also coming in 2020.
