I used to be extremely sexually active and would sleep with different partners. I have no shame in that and I don't care about that. One thing I have NEVER done is cheat on anyone I've ever been in a relationship with. (Which isn't very many people to begin with)

Just because someone has slept with 10, 20 or even 50 people it DOES NOT mean they are incapable of monogamy.

One hella fucked up thing is I have been slut shamed since I lost my virginity. By many people (family, friends, friends s/o). Which at this point is whatever. What I HATE though is the assumption that because I "slept around" I didn't respect myself, I wasn't/am not worthy of love and I am incapable of being faithful in a monogamous relationship.

That whole "you can't turn a hoe into a housewife" or slut shaming and jokes about promiscuous women is one of the many fucked up reasons women don't come forward when they get sexually harassed or assaulted. Because they feel like no one will believe them or they'll be disrespected and ridiculed.

So do yourself a favor. Don't assume shit about anyone. And don't think you're worth more than someone because you've slept with less people than them or are a virgin.

Men can be promiscious. Women can't. Or so the story goes.

Me: WHEREVER YOU ARE.
