It looks like the project I've been building for the last six months or so ended before it ever had the chance to get off the ground. It's unfortunate, but these things happen for a lot of reasons, and I'm letting it go with as much grace as I can manage.
I'm sad those characters won't get their debut, and I miss writing their dumb little banter, but time keeps moving, and so do I.
On the upside, I've begun a new outline for Rot in Velvet and the shape looks promising.
And sure, maybe the project will come back; who knows. But right now I need something to pour that energy into, and the beauty of Rot is that there's plenty of room to flesh it out. For the Safety of the Public is also there, begging for attention quietly in the corner.
