[#projectgratitudeday1] . “My family. My friends. My health.” . Sounds familiar, right? If someone ever asks you what you are grateful for, these are some prettttttttty common themes. And don’t get me wrong, these are really great things to be grateful for. But I mean……..Yes. Duh. Of course. So...why? Specifically? . Today, let’s start with {family} . Who, specifically, in your family are you grateful for *today*? Let’s think about who we interacted with most recently. Did you share breakfast this morning with your partner, your kids, your cat? Did you get a text from your favorite second cousin-twice removed checking in to hear about that thing that you were going to do? Or maybe you had a recent conversation with your grandma over the phone? If you haven’t talked to Grandma recently, this is your reminder! 👵🏻☎️ . Think small. Small does not equal insignificant. Small means a little thing that made you smile. Or laugh. Or just feel the warm fuzzies. It doesn’t have to be some grand gesture (though, those are ALWAYS ok to be grateful for), for now, let’s focus on the little things. . Por ejemplo: I have a 9 year old little sister. She is hilarious. And she loooooooooooooves Snapchat. When we get together, she loves to put on the silly snapchat filters and make videos with me. And we both find them *unbelievably entertaining*. They make us both laugh, and they are something that I can look back on when we aren’t together to feel closer to my sister. These little moments that I have with her bring me so much joy, and these moments have regularly made the cut to get their own separate entry in my gratitude journal. . It doesn’t have to be ground-breaking. It doesn’t have to be a deep, or super serious moment. It can be as silly as ‘snapchatting with my sister’. Whatever brings you joy, even if just for a few minutes. Reflect on it and write it down. . Everyday for the next 7 days, we’re going to get into the practice of writing down 3 new things that brought you a little happiness that day. I will be posting prompts and inspiration to help you #activelyappreciate the little things and write that shiz down ✏️📒 let's get into the habit of happy 💓
