15/366: Again...super bad at this, but I promise I’ll end the year with 365 photos. This is a classic #tbt to last week when my nephew Jackson - aka AppleJack™️ - turned 1 year old. He clearly was over the smash cake and probably ready for a nap or something. This photo cracks me up, because it’s totally contrary to his typical cool-mannered disposition. Here, however, he is over it, goddamnit! I love my boys, my nephews, so much. Ethan is so incredibly smart and strong-willed. Jackson is loving and sweet as pie. His smile can melt the coldest of hearts, and it makes me so proud to see my nephews so healthy, happy and loved. You know they are doing alright because there is always a smile on their faces, the sounds of playing and laughter erupting throughout the house. They will be more than taken care of for their entire lives. They will thrive. After all, my family is a package deal - and it’s one helluva package to handle! All of us play a role in the lives of these boys, but it’s because these boys are some incredible kids. I try to (seriously) use this word sparingly, but I’m truly blessed to have this child and his cousin Ethan in my life.
