Hi everyone! Here is the first of many ACOTAR commissions I have this month, a gorgeous Gwynriel piece done by the outstanding @flaviedub​ who you all have to follow right now! Link to Instagram post here

I’ve always loved the white/black aesthetic Gwynriel have so of course I had to play into that concept with this piece! I also wanted a piece that had the mountain in the back, the water lilies in the water, and of course a kiss over all of it as the middle pose.

The biggest thanks goes to @flaviedub for taking on this commission and giving me a result that is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined!

Yes, we got insight into Azriel’s mind and his thoughts/feelings. We got to see his dynamic with different people, specifically potential love interests, but these things were already explored in ACOSF, just in a subtler way.

Azriel having a toxic mindset towards Elain was already told to us during the Dread Trove scene. He underestimates her and says she shouldn’t got and find it even after she states clearly, throughly, and rather bluntly that she wants to find it. He coddles her and views her as a delicate breakable object which is then further proved in the bonus chapter.

Azriel and Gwyn had scenes in ACOSF that set up a romance (specifically after the Blood Rite Qualifier where it is written that Gwyn and Azriel’s relationship is just starting). The bonus chapter only proved just how much chemistry and potential the two of them have.

Azriel is shown to be in a bad mental state for parts of ACOSF with him being so dedicated to his job that he lashes out at Feyre and Rhysand when they stop him for his and others safety, not feeling worthy to have children, etc. The bonus chapter shows us how he longs to have a mate with him being envious of Cassian and Rhysand, as well as showing how badly he views himself.
