i’ve thought abt this a bit over the past few days!!!! they’re definitely a very chill pair of friends....they mess with each other jokingly but they just like. get each other yknow? shelly may be more on the playful sass and mischievous side while maxie’s more on the serious and closed-off/sorta repressed side, but shelly is just as capable of being serious and knowing when to say what she thinks the same way maxie’s able to let his guard down just a bit and let a bit of his more playful sarcasm come out. somehow they end up meshing well! they absolutely meet up with each other on weekends and pass the time in mauville or lilycove, or really wherever the hell their long convos end up takin em

I know that is not a super popular choice - in fact, I've yet to come across another person who thought of it - but my hope for the unexpected character is on King Cold.
Pro: It would definitely get the fanbase talking. “King Cold? Really? We’re bringing that guy back?” There’s so many boxes that have to be checked just to get him set up for a movie. He has to be resurrected, there has to be some justification for using him and not Frieza, Cooler, or Frost, and he’d need an asspull power increase just to keep him relevant. Oh, and I forgot: he’s retired. In the last movie, he only showed up in a flashback that established that he pretty much stopped doing stuff forty-odd years ago. So not only do you need to have him come out of retirement, but he’s got to explain why now after all this time.
But that’s not so different from the checklist for bringing Broly back in the last movie. We have to get Broly in the canon. How did he survive the destruction of Planet Vegeta? Where’s he been all this time? Why hasn’t anyone heard of him until now? How did no one notice a Saiyan with so much power? And so on. I think in the hands of a master storyteller like Akira Toriyama, these sorts of obstacles can actually become an asset instead of a liability. I think everyone knows the story of how he kept retooling the Androids Saga on the fly, but when you read it it looks like he planned the whole thing in advance. Why didn’t Gero use 17 and 18 in the first place? Because he was afraid he couldn’t control them. Why didn’t anyone know about Cell? Because Gero’s computer hasn’t finished making him. How did the computer finish him if the lab was destroyed? A-ha he was created in the sub-basement. And so on. Toriyama could rise to the occasion.
Con: But I doubt he would. Basically, King Cold has all the disadvantages I said about Cooler, with none of the upside. Fans would see King Cold and wonder why they didn’t just do Cooler instead, or just use Frieza, since he’s the most popular of the family.
That’s not a dealbreaker, necessarily. But I think if they asked me to write a King Cold movie, the first thing I’d want to do is revamp the character and make him into a very different kind of villain. Otherwise, he’d just end up playing out the same revenge scheme as Frieza, only older and weaker. I’d want to turn him into something different, like MetaCooler or Bio-Broly. Just something new where he’s still the same King Cold we remember, but he’s been changed by everything he’s been through. Maybe make him a vampire or something.
Have you ever concidered creating tags for other feats of strength, such as "Ladies lifting cars" or "Ladies lifting beasts"? I'm sure seeing examples of these would be as satisfying as seeing women lift other people.
It’s satisfying, yeah, but I guess maybe for me there’s a little bit of a fantasy element. I would like to be lifted like a strong lady, or in my ideal world I would strongly carry my ladylove into the sunset. So women lifting tanks and stuff is awesome and I love it, but it’s not quite the same.
What do you brothers think of Zabrak Jedi, like Eeth Koth?
