The morning after the full moon, any hunters chance to attack the monsters they hunted and escape unharmed. It was Aella's favourite time to hunt the werewolves, she wasn't experienced in fighting them when they had shifted and it often ended with her injured. Stalking silently through the woods she held her gun up, finger on the trigger, ready for them.
Turning a corner she peered round the tree, bingo! she had found one. In an opening there was a young man, around her age laid there, ready for her. Mentally she was prepared, she crept closer to him. With her gun pointed at his head she nudged him with her foot. This would of been a satisfying kill, but when he opened his eyes something made her stop in her tracks. She willed herself to pull the trigger and end his life but she just couldn't.
"Fuck.." she muttered, lowering the gun to her side, agitated with herself. "I couldn't do it okay?" she said to him, with a shrug. What was wrong with her? she had killed before but why was he different.
