Ash is a switch, mostly willing to do whatever his partner wants to do. He's more of a giver and is more focused on making sure to pleasure his partner rather than himself, considering it's not exactly something he really needs. Sex is fun and feels good and all, yes, but to Ashton, sex is always more about the love and connection he wants to give his partner.

Leading into this answer that yes, Ashton absolutely needs an emotional connection before even feeling an ounce of sexual attraction or urge. He's never had a one night stand before. Even when he briefly dated a girl in his early twenties, felt more like a rebound than anything, but sex was a prominent thing for her in that relationship, and it happened multiple times before they even built much of an emotional connection and it felt good, of course, but it always felt wrong to Ashton. Like what was sex for if it wasn't part of love? That relationship didn't last very long, that goes without saying.

Ashton is most sensitive around his neck, the back of his neck, and collarbone area, along with his scalp, often melting into touches and kisses there and when someone runs their fingers through his hair or even tugs and pulls it.

Ashton was around 17-18, perhaps later than a lot of his peers, he was dating for the first time, in a high school sweetheart relationship with Claude, and everything felt sweet and tender until there were external questions and peer pressure. Their relationship that felt normal to them, apparently wasn't so to others. They've been dating for about a year and people started questioning, what do you mean you haven't had sex? What kind of relationship is that? Their first time was from the pressure of feeling like they needed to do it, as if needed to legitimize their relationship and feelings. It was.. awkward, clumsy, sure, but also sweet, and a little funny, very loving, respectful, despite the outside pressures, between them it was still a safe space for them, he was glad it was with Claude for them both to be forgiving and loving. After that Ashton thought that was enough as like a milestone in their relationship, that the gossip and the whispering would finally stop, he just.. never thought about sex that way as a constant thing. No, from Claude's end, unbeknownst to Ashton, the gossip and whispering only got louder in their ears. @angstfactory

What’s one rule you’d break for the right person?
For the right person, Ashton would break every rule. Perhaps the biggest one would be threesomes, or more, he's a huge monogamous person and prefers sex to be the private intimate feelings between two significant others, adding people to the equation feels wrong. But he feel do anything for the right person that he loves truly and dearly.

Ashton doesn't really think about that question. If you asked him today, it would simply be March, no one else, sex isn't something he fantasizes with anyone other than his partner, because it comes from a deep urge to give his partner everything of him. @heyyomarch

Two. Yes two, seriously. Hoping to make it three with someone special, and then he has no desire to really add to the count.

It would really depend what his partner wants, Ashton has the tendency to stress and overthink, so anywhere too public with actual eyes on them would be way too much, but he's not opposed to the idea of sex in public if it meant his partner would enjoy it.
