Commentary: I’m obssessed with the idea of the Warrens, and I love and adore AUs based on this films because I swear to God, the fictional Warrens and shyan are pretty much the same. And this fic made all my dreams come true. Exactly what I wanted and, hell, even how I wanted it. The narrative and POVs are perfect, carefully crafted and build unique in spite of being an AU of a previously existing franchise. This author is a mastermind, and this is one of their best works in the fandom. Truly an inspiration.

Commentary: In this one, Shane is the one with the Gift like Lorraine’s, and in a very Shane fashion, he explains it away with science. The exploration of this AU is so important and so deep, like– you have them being a gay couple with a child in times when they could had been killed for loving each other at the same time they are dealing with forces none can understand but try their best to explain to themselves and others. It’s amazing.
