Let It Snow 2.0 - Quill Quest
Flash fest from the Wizarding World Writers Discord (2025)
It is my pleasure to announce that A Yuletide Truce won:
Best Prose Award
Most heartwarming Runner Up Award
As well as a custom award: Realistic Draco Redemption
Now that the fics have dropped I can gush about how much fun it was to participate in this flash fest! I have been working on this fun little banner while I waited for the drop & awards announcement. If you've been following my blog, you'll know I've been trying to learn how to use Procreate & transfer from mouse/trackpad to stylus.
(I started and trashed like 3 different versions of this & I'm actually super proud of how it came out)
I have never won awards in a fest before, so it was definitely a huge surprise that everyone loved my little oneshot so much! Thank you to the two members who hosted this fest: briarandbone and carrots, as well as a big thank you to the WWW community who made this fest to enjoyable.

I finally got my iPad stylus so I've been diving into learning procreate! I'm extremely rusty drawing by hand (formerly used a mouse + adobe illustrator) so there are definitely some learning curves but overall the platform is simple enough to navigate after watching this beginner video.
I think it came out super well, though I definitely need to work on proportions a bit more. I played around a bit with color and blending, but wasn't happy enough with it to post the result.

Wanted to start practicing color blocking now that I have a better grip on how to navigate Procreate.
I am still struggling with proportions, especially overly exaggerated ones like Sin Jin Woo's very long, pointed chin. Overall, I'm very happy with how the colors, shadows, and effects came out.
This one took me about 6hrs to complete.

I really enjoyed drawing the sword, but if anyone has tips on how to fix his proportions, please lmk
