how to stop procrastinating
honestly, this one is something that I struggle with too, so we're together on this one. But, there are certain steps that we can take to get rid of this habit.
timings - you can set alarms for when you need to start something so that you know that you have to get ready to do whatever you need to do. You can set one, or multiple to get you ready to start. It's also crucial to get work done sooner rather than later, otherwise, you can really start to feel very stressed and overwhelmed later.
rewards - give yourself some rewards after finishing so that you can feel good about yourself. Some rewards I like to give myself are binge-watching my favourite Netflix series after completing something big, or some free time to do whatever I want to do, knowing and having that good feeling of having completed something.
distractions - if any electronics are a big problem for you, it's best to put them in another room. There are some apps that stop you from getting distracted from your phone, such as Forest which is an app that I use: you set a timer for how long you want to work for, and in that time it grows an animated tree. If you leave the app, the tree will get destroyed and will show the destroyed tree in your garden. It's also a fun app because you earn coins after growing a tree and you can buy different trees or relaxing sounds and grow your own forest. However, it is not a free app and cost me £1.99 - however, it's worth it to help procrastination.
breaking it up - if you have a big project/task, it's best to break it up into sections, doing different parts on different days. Nevertheless, it's still important to actually get the work done, regardless if you're not completing the whole thing in one day. This is a good way to complete tasks, as you won't be overwhelmed.

Procrastination At It’s Finest
Does anyone ever like have an exam to revise for but instead of revising for the topic.... just decide to teach themself something completely different? Like procrastinating learning about a topic by learning a different topic?
so tomorrow, i have social studies with Jay and we’re in a group for nhd (national history day) and we need to finish a paper by friday..yet we’re here on tumblr looking at studyblr’s and writing/reading fanfiction when we are barely halfway through. We’re idiots :)
