The Fun of Teaching
This isn’t exactly a problem specific to our schools really (though we’d like to believe it’s worst here) but my flatmate and I have been dealing with quite the troublemakers in our classes. Unfortunately, being auxiliaries, the students don’t quite see us as teachers or at least someone to give a minimum respect to. We do use a lot of patience.
Those moments when we lose control over the class or one of the kid is trying so hard to be a smartass with us, God do we wish we could just snap back at them. Something along the lines of...
“Hey kids, let me teach you the meaning of “defenestration”!” *throws smartass kid out of the window* “Who’s next?”
Haha, of course, we wouldn’t do it but it makes my day thinking about these things :)
"Wake up, Eren." Shakes the other boy's shoulder gently. "You're going to be late...again."
I felt guilty when I thought of a student only as "my problem student." But every time I felt guilty the student would reaffirm that they had truly earned that name.
