Social media is a trip. Today I scrolly-pollied on down to find the most beautiful and loving description written by a childhood friend, which detailed the brief yet vital moments she has daily with her young children. I was moved. The language was arresting and vivid and essential and I loved her in that moment.
Then I moved my fkn thumb half a centimeter up my screen and got reality-fucked by the hot garbage juice Live Action dogshit she had shared the day before. Now I’m nauseous and unquiet. My mind detests her in this moment.
How is it that people can exist as two versions of themselves in my heart but not in my head? I wish I could only love people or only hate them. I am plagued by ambiguity and ambivalence yet my beliefs run clear and still and deep.
Ya. So. Fuck Facebook, amirite?
It is not easy to claim, but I must be pro-freewill. And my choice in free will is to be pro-life (and by virtue of more choices, pro-celibacy outside of marriage). I wish all people would make that same choice, knowing some, heartbreakingly, will not. I am also pro-education, because no one should be so uninformed as to realize too late the dire consequences of their decision. And finally- I am pro-grace, because once the gravitas of consequence is made known, Jesus is always prepared to save and forgive the repentant. 💋❤👶

There’s a lot of things happening in the world nowadays that make me stressed, and sometimes even angry. I can’t find the option to blacklist tags, so I am for now unable to keep those happenings from appearing on my dashboard. So I’m going to be staying off of Tumblr until things get better. Not that I’m shutting myself off from the world, mind you. That won’t help a thing. I’ll be doing what I can when I can to make a change in this world for the better.
Once things do get better, though, I’ll be on here much more often. And once that time comes, I’ll have plenty of things to post and reblog!
In the meantime, I hope you all stay safe and have a happy year!
And remember: there is and will always be hope, so long as we stand up for peace and love, defend freedoms and human rights, help each other in times of need, and refuse to let violence and hatred win! You are needed in these times, and with your help, the world can and will become a better place!
