Yeah I said it, and I agree with this 100%

In canon, Ino has been very good with talking to people even at a very young age when first meeting Sakura. She doesn't bully her about her forehead, and has even encouraged her throughout their childhood.

As a teenager, she continues to use her gift of communication to help her comrades in combat or just to simply be the cheerleader for those who may need it.

Now there's this common theme with her haters saying "Oh Ino only like hot guys she's so shallow" to which I say:

When they were children, Ino did indeed have a crush on Sasuke because she thought he was cute. HOWEVER, she is shown to want to give him a sunflower. And a sunflower is a symbol of friendship. So even though she had romantic feelings, she wanted to establish a platonic relationship with Sasuke as well.

2. Ino was very aware that Sakura had feelings for Sasuke as well but did not want that to drive a wedge in her relationship with Sakura. Let me remind you all, Sakura broke off her friend with Ino FIRST. Not the other way around.

3. Ino is NOT only attractive to looks alone. Like, she the least judgmental person in her generation. She never insults Choji for his weight. She's seen to have positive relationships with Tenten and Hinata. And she doesn't judge Sai at all (unlike Naruto and Sakura).

It honestly bugs me how much Ino is slept on or viewed in a bad light whenever it comes to Sakura. I know parts of the fandom want to make them gay for each other, which- more power to you I guess. But if we're looking at what canon gives us- it wouldn't happen.

Another thing that really bothers me about Ino is that Kishimoto basically forced Ino to forget about Sasuke and be with Sai by default. Like forcing Ino to forget Sasuke, but in the same page allow Sakura's toxic behaviors to flourish and fester?! Nah, I'm not a fan of that. I don't care that Sakura is supposed to be the lead female character. If Ino was force to forget and move on, so should Sakura.

And I'll just say it, I do like the ship SasuIno a lot. I'm not sorry about that. Like I believe, if given the chance, I'd want to see Ino have a conversation or two with Sasuke. I believe she'd do well given her gift of communication. She's nonjudgmental and she is very empathetic with those around her, so why not have that with Sasuke?

Anyway, that's my little essay over.

Tl;dr Ino's a great character and I will die on that hill.

I really don’t like spending time on this kinda of discourse so I will keep this the shortest as I can...

Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, MHA, Bleach (or any other popular shounen if you will) are NOT sexist they are battle mangas and guess what they are.. SHOUNENS? Why some people go all their way to accuse mangakas, CREATORS to be sexist just for the solely reason they didn’t met your very specific expectations and your every single “demand”?

No I am very tired, because it makes little to no sense, it reminds me of high school when some friends of mine would complain about shoujo having romance? and mostly focusing on female characters? FOR REAL it’s the same energy and makes no sense now I won’t break down each non sense I have to heard or read because I am not into discussion but this is something I need to speak my mind on (btw I won’t answer replies if you wanna say something my ask is open but you know wtv)

first I am gonna adress Kishimoto because he is so kind nice and humble and he does not deserve this nonsense he is a good author with flaws OBVIOUSLY but in general he is good! I am tired and it became old already Kishimoto is really not sexist stop making accusations without evidence (where did you take he hate women? this has no basis he never showed disrespect ever), the biggest flaw from Kishi in my point of view is not giving other characters, other than Naruto and Sasuke, much focus and this includes the female characters lets say Ino for example gurl... I respect her SO MUCH and everytime someone make a complain about her I laugh because it is just about natural things or perks on her personality which makes her HUMAN I think she is a very natural and compelling character I did reblog some posts that highlight her very greatness and keep in mind she is a side characters! her team for me is more interesting than many main teams  ~personal taste blabla~ also same for Tsunade, this woman is a beast she is so much the figure of respect in Naruto and I, as a woman, find her very VERY excelent her story and her highlight moments were short but so impactful even her romance with Dan made few pages was great (same for Ino and Sai! what a 1000/10 couple and both are so good characters...) her solution was well written she is strong without “magical eyes” or beasts... Now my main problem with Kishimoto is on a matter of focus, now I wanna thank the Hinata and Sakura fans because they already defend these amazing ladies so much so I will save it from now but for me Hinata and Sakura are the shape and soul of Konoha future, hope and peace too! Just as much as their husbands!

Let’s go for Bleach now, Tite Kubo might be a little interesting, I appreciate that he defends his work so much because if you dislike something so much just write your own thing right? every author should just say this ~ lol his female characters ARE very strong and have a lot of focus, Rukia and Orihime were more remarkable (FOR ME, as a reader anyone is free to feel different in this matter) than Ichigo and other male characters I think only Aizen have the same love (from me) lmao but enough this lets jump to the part where people mess up, you can dislike a character and a manga as much as you want but don’t lie the popular statement of “Orihime is useless only says kurosaki kun!1″ is so annoying and wrong I won’t even... I mean Orihime literally have one of the greatest powers in the series even freaking AIZEN took interest on her powers?? Why?? Even?? Disregard?? That?? it is so hate for the sake of hate. And we all know how strong many female characters on Bleach are but it’s so fun how all this hate is driven to Orihime and in the end all the female characters get bashed even tho none of them are weak, this is tiresome (and the fandom can kinda be contradictory here)

about Dragon Ball oh boy, this one tires me A LOT I srsly feel tired just typing rn, we have freakin BULMA her presence alone in the universe of the manga is even more than relevant, yeah she starts funny (I have no problem with her earlier character) but she matured and she became even better but lets never forget how she was always relevant?! Her strenght relies on being the most realiable and efficient character in the entire series rather than punch power super explosions ~~ etc she is just a fearless, independent, smartest (and don’t forget also the cutest! ~lmao i love her~) character in the entire series, and we have Android 18 a extremely strong character, ChiChi is a very strong woman she CHOSE TO BE A MOTHER AND A HOUSEWIFE btw this applies to all animes or media... And don’t even get me start on Videl... People pretend to be accepting but be judgin female character just for being a mother and staying home like? srsly? this is not the only thing they do! Videl and ChiChi are STRONG 

BEING A HOUSEWIFE AND MOTHER ARE NOT WEAKNESS AT ALL and thats the end of story, all people who put this trait down are just so zzzZzzZZ more of the same average complainer...

anyways, I will just leave it here, btw I am not saying you should love every manga every character hell I have dropped many mangas and animes because they didn’t suited me and I didn’t spend my time hating on them... I am saying that at least keep this honest! Don’t lie, don’t put fingers accusing author of this and that just because it didn’t specific meet your very expectations okay?

(Disclaimer: This is purely an argumentative “essay” about why SaiIno is a good couple. Any other couple mentioned is simply utilised for comparison purpose, I have no hatred against any of them because canon is canon and I acknowledge what has been made)

Ino and Sai are perfect for each other. It’s so sad that they’re quite underrated, but the moments where they’re together are always perfect, thanks to Studio Pierrot (gotta give credits where it’s due). I’m irritated by people who insult Ino for marrying “knockoff Sasuke”, like, bruh, Ino got the BETTER end of the deal and it’s C - A - N - O - N. In Boruto manga, Ino clearly said that she couldn’t imagine having a marriage like Sakura where the husband rarely came home. It implies that Sai is a devoted husband who always comes home to Ino, this is impressive considering that Sai is the director of ANBU who’s sure to be quite busy as well, but he doesn’t make excuses not to come home unlike Sasuke. Boruto novel also stated that Sai’s only weakness is Ino, that shows how much he loves and respects her. Even when they have arguments, they make up pretty quickly and Sai even tried to reconcile with Ino by hugging her, how romantic is that? TT_TT Ino blushed so much after that, it’s so funny to see XD Sai has come a long way since his days as the emotionless killing machine of Root, and Ino still adoringly acts like a teenager-in-love upon being given affection by her husband although they have been married for years. Their relationship clearly makes them better person for each other.

If Sai is a “knockoff Sasuke” for them, then I want him too! Who doesn’t want to have a husband who loves and respects you so much that he refuses to fight with you, who comforts you when you’re worried, who always comes home to you, and with whom you can raise your children together? Sai is clearly that person and more, he always appreciates Ino and that’s a figure she needs as a life partner. (And come on, he’s not a knockoff Sasuke, the mangaka and animators even draw him differently now, so y’all can shut up about him being a knockoff Sasuke because he’s obviously not).

We all know Ino is very affectionate with people she loves, we can see it with how she protected Sakura, how she gave Sasuke sunflower (that symbolises friendship), and how she’s willing to go for a mission to save Shikamaru and Sai. Some people take this for granted, Sasuke ignored her, while Sakura broke their friendship off at one point for the sake of competing to get Sasuke although Ino didn’t actually wanted to end it -_- On the other hand, since their first meeting, Sai appreciated her (even if it was accidentally) which then later grew to genuine appreciation after being saved by her in Shikamaru Hiden episodes. Why would Ino choose someone who ignored her, such as Sasuke, when she got Sai who appreciates her the way she is? Sai wasn’t even willing to leave Ino alone to get lunch when she got hospitalized in Sasuke Hiden, it shows how he was THAT devoted to her. We also need to remember that now Ino is the Head of Yamanaka clan and the Head of Konoha Analysis Unit, as well as owner of her family business. She’s a very busy woman and it’s good that she’s got Sai as her husband who is as committed as her to take care of Inojin together.

Now let’s compare to Sasuke, whom some people often bring up when it comes to Ino’s romantic pursuit and “losing” from Sakura. IN MY VIEW, Sasuke isn’t a golden example as a husband I actually feel bad for Sakura for having to put up with that. Yes, he’s busy saving the world, but couldn’t he at least come home once a year to meet his wife and daughter, or even, communicate with them more regularly? To train his daughter so she could be prepared for the threats of the world? And, I still find it weird that he is set up to train Boruto, but like… what about his own daughter? He’s been a missing figure during those years, the least he could do is spend more time with Sarada  :( (Sorry Sarada sweetie, you deserve better, and no, this isn’t an Anti SasuSaku jab because I love their daughter anyway-- without SasuSaku, Sarada wouldn’t exist). But well, Sasuke finally tried to make it up after YEARS, and thankfully Sakura still had the patience to forgive him, thus, solidifying SasuSaku’s relationship since their relationship works for them. This, at the same time, also implies that Sasuke might not be able to have a stable marriage with anyone else other than Sakura or Naruto (No, this is not a Sasuke diss, just saying that his shinobi obligation and personality are not easy to handle). 

I don’t think Ino would put up with Sasuke’s “workaholic” tendencies, hence, that’s why Ino is better suited with Sai who actually comes home often because Ino wants a marriage which works that way. Imagine if Ino were Sasuke’s wife, they probably would have divorced now, lol. So yeah, the pairings are perfect the way they are because they suit the characters’ temperaments pretty well. SaiIno is perfect the way they are too and Ino isn’t a loser for wanting to have a marriage life that fulfils her ideals and getting together with Sai who could provide her with that than any other men. We can even say that Ino is also a winner for being able to move on and find happiness for herself in her career and family life. In real life we know that moving on to find someone who suits yourself better is a good thing, it’s the same case for Ino too.

All in all, I’m really happy for SaiIno / InoSai and I’m so glad that Masashi Kishimoto and team actually put some efforts to give Sai and Ino some moments that show their love in very obvious manner in the canon materials (yes, novels, movies, and anime episodes are canon too, so, shut up), despite them not being the MCs. SaiIno might start off as a crack pairing, but they later developed into a pairing who have significant romantic moments and they seem to be having the most physically-affectionate relationship from what has been shown (e.g. the hugging scenes in Episode 189 Shippuden and Episode 140 of Boruto). Ino got what she needed in her life with Sai, and Sai learned what he needed to have better relationships with Ino. It’s nice to see that SaiIno work together so well as a couple and I hope we can see more of them in the future.

Ino and Sakura are portrayed as the same self centered, obsessive and demanding girls so people may wonder why I am so against Sakura but really love Ino to death.

Ino is also a perfect example that it isn't kishis fault for being a man that Sakura turned out so shitty.

Sakura isn't his bad writing or portraying of females. (Look at shizune, tsunade, tenten, etc. So many strong, lovely and iconic women!) She is meant to be that awful character. Because awful people exist in this world and that's why, even though i rly can't stand her guts at all, I rly appreciate Kishi deciding to go that route with her. Because it's awfully realistic.

But let's put Sakura aside and look at Ino.

A girl just as selfish and bitchy as pinkie started out to be, obsessed with a boy with zero interest in anyone besides his "rival".

The way she treats everyone in the naruto series is rly disgusting and extremely wrong, but Shippuden really gave her time to shine.

As a side character a lot of things may go unnoticed, seem irrelevant since majority of her screentime exists in fillers.

But Ino grew over these years. Not only did she become stronger but her mind, morals and views changed a lot.

To a point where she could overcome her obsession, literally grew out of the little girl she used to be and realized that there was more to life than love and attention.

I think it was totally fair of her to feel that heart broken when her former crush betrayed the village, becoming the enemy. Because even though they might have never spoken, she had idealized him. Saw something in him that had made her feel that attached to him. And there is nothing wrong about it. Neither is it for Sakura.

But the important difference is, that Ino grew from that pain, that rejection and experience.

She finally broke free from depending on this boy and stood her own ground. Stood up for her own self and got better for her own goals. She stopped having her life exist around some boy but made it about herself and grew into a healthy mindset.

Saying that sai is a cheap replacement for sasuke seems so childish to me because their relationship is fundamentally completely different than compared to the one she had with Sasuke.

There was no obsession, no dependency and no rivalry with other girls. It was a respectful relationship that led into something more intense over a long ammount of time.

For Ino to give this boy, that was the complete opposite of Sasuke (Sai didn't even know what hatred was while sasuke was overflowing with it) a chance to come into her life and eventually fall for him shows how much she has grown as a character. You can say what you want about Sai but dealing with someone who doesn't know how to interact with others or can't process emotions can be extremely frustrating, exhausting and maybe even hurtful.

The moment their relationship turned more romantical also has such deep roots since Ino didn't give up on him as he had already given up on himself. She showed him that she would always reach out to him no matter what, without any wish for acknowledgement, attention or even being loved by him.

And that my friends is personal growth which Sakura simply doesn't have.

Sakura didn't grow past the little obsessive girl and probably never will because she simply doesn't seem to want to.

And if there's smth I can't stand it's people that cant fckn grow

Therefore I do not support this fandoms beloved lesbian ship S*kuIno, simply because Sakuras deep sitting toxicity would only break Inos character.

I see nothing healthy and wholesome about this ship

Being with someone who refuses to grow, change and overcome themselves is literally one of the most painful and crushing experiences.

I’m so sick of seeing posts like: “Ino had to settle for a Sasuke clone”, “Ino loves Sai only because he looks like Sasuke!”

There are so many things wrong with these statements, first of all, Sai has only the same hair and eye color as Sasuke, that’s it. Lee also has dark hair and eyes but can you see Ino wanting to be more than friends? No. Only another thing these three have in common is that they’re great ninjas with exceptional abilities, just like about half of the characters on the show.

If you want to understand SaiIno, you need to understand SasuIno first. Just because the main heroine likes him because of his looks doesn’t mean that her rival does the same.

This is one of the earliest encounters between Sasuke and Ino that happened soon after his family’s massacre:

The Sunflower represents FRIENDSHIP! Friendship, positivity and long life, completely unlike Sakura’s confession that was completely based on HERSELF and HER feelings towards him. Tell me is THIS love because of the looks? Don’t think so. She just wanted to be friends at first.

Also, when they were younger:

This hints that Sasuke at least thought about being friends with Ino.

Are THESE signs of look-based love: Crying solely because Sasuke is proclaimed a criminal and will probably die not because doesn’t love her? Again, unlike Sakura.  

Seriously, how can ANYONE claim that Ino loves Sasuke only because he’s handsome? 

She JUST remarked that Sai looks kind like Sasuke, that’s it, she, AGAIN, just wanted to be friends with Sai, she wasn’t even flirty like she usually is.

Also are somebodys that you ‘love only because they’re handsome’ in your biggest wish? Along with your father being alive? 

INO CAN’T LOVE SAI BECAUSE HE LOOKS LIKE SASUKE IF SHE DIDN’T LIKE SASUKE BECAUSE OF HIS LOOKS!

So seriously please stop saying otherwise because it’s crap
