to the ranting anon
LOL.
I don’t know if you wanted me to comment at all on it, and there’s no way for me to privately respond to asks submitted as an anon, but I enjoyed your rant. I feel your frustration and agree with you 100% about what’s become of a portion of the Jikook community. A lot of the time I find myself having to check out or step away from stan Twitter because of the extreme behaviors and endless arguments one often gets exposed to when following any popular ship account.
As you so astutely pointed out, the practice of shipping has degraded to a competition--a oneupmanship--when all of that effort can be spent appreciating Jikook for being the way they are (or whatever ship you prefer).

To the anon who requested I not post your ask, I just want to say thank you for your submission. I wish I was able to post it because there were some things you said that I believe are worth talking about. Please don't worry about what you told me in confidence (and you're always welcome into my space). I won't identify names or the main point of your ask, but I will say this:
I am very open to the idea that K-armys are more privy to information than I-armys. That's very logical. But the thought that K-armys talk to I-armys about Jikook and trusting them with information that they can slowly roll out to their followers doesn't really make sense to me.
If they had real information on Jikook to prove they're real and they were honest supporters of Jikook, they would keep that information to themselves. And even if there were rogue K-armys who love Jikook but didn't care a wit about their privacy, that's not information I'd even want to possess.
I, myself, have heard that K-armys don't actually like talking to I-armys about things because of the potential for unwanted information to spread, so that's something that's at odds with what you've told me. I've heard K-armys are a lot more sensitive to the privacy of BTS than I-armys (ironically enough because of saesangs and the like) and that there's a little bit of friction between K-armys and I-armys about that very subject. But obviously, even what I know is hearsay, and I acknowledge that.
I think it's really unsteady territory to rope K-armys into this, mainly because I don't have much interaction with them. Do I like the idea that Jikook are Korea's best kept secret? Yes. Do I believe it? There’s not really much anyone can do to convince me, short of photographic proof or coming straight out of the horse’s mouth.

he went private on tik tok as far as I’ve seen
If I had to guess, he was probably getting flooded with tags and messages from people.

private anon pt. 2
Hi, anon!
I’m assuming you didn’t want me to post your second ask either (which is a shame because it’s such a good breakdown of how things can get blown out of proportion in the Jkkr circle, especially between K-armys and I-armys, and what’s potentially wrong with it).
There’s nothing much for me to add because I’m totally on board with everything you said. The user you mentioned... ah, hmm. I’ve read some of their things out of curiosity (at least only the recent stuff), and they do tend to talk about things with a sense of certainty, which personally rubs me the wrong way, considering they’ve put themselves in a position where people seem to rely on what they have to say without giving it proper thought of their own. I think people ought to be aware of the responsibility they have when delving into Jikook’s and the rest of BTS’ private lives when they begin to accrue a larger audience, but that’s just my take on how things should operate. Not everyone feels the same way or thinks it carries significance. I think when Jkkrs share information they’re not supposed to, it comes from a misguided sense of generosity to assuage their followers, but it creates problems more often than not because of the implicit secrecy (not including the possibility that they might be lying as well because some toxic Jkkrs are actually full of shit).
ANYWAY, your submission was very enlightening. I’m super thankful for this information for my own edification. 💜

Complimentary Anon
I’m sure you meant well, but I am still primarily a Zayn fan blog and secondarily a 1D fan blog. I like Louis second best, but I generally will post about any of them who are in the news a lot at any given moment. Lately Zayn has been ghost again and Harry has been in public (that’s changing), so I’ve had a few posts abut him (also tbh he generates the most interest and discourse). Niall has a new single coming out on Friday, so I’ll post about that.
The blogs you compared me to are not blogs I emulate. If you think that’s my goal, then I have failed utterly in accurate self-identification.
