#printerly thoughts

Well, sort of. I've never really been much into Def Leppard, though to be fair to them I haven't made an effort to listen to them much (I grew up in a house that listened to a lot of folk-____ stuff like Simon & Garfunkel and Dido, with a little grunge, alt rock, and new wave mixed in there. Folk has somehow maintained it's scraggly little tendrils buried deep in my heart) Anyway, I don't exactly find "Pour Some Sugar on Me" to be the sexiest song in existence, the tempo's a little too lumbering for me to feel like it's going to get my blood pumping away from my brain, but I'll post it anyway:

BECAUSE.

Credit where credit is due! It's a damn good, iconic song (It was ranked #2 on VH1's list of 100 greatest songs of the 80s). It's got provocative lyrics out the wazoo (whatever orifice you define the wazoo to be) and just plain fucking ROCKS ITS SHIT. But my favorite cover of it comes with a hilariously charming music video. Ninja Sex Party takes the raw power Def Leppard has but twists it like a candy ribbon into a bright and tangy and a -ahem- perky interpretation:

Cross your fingers for me, because I've just spent the last week busting my ass to remake an entire 32-piece shadowbox SMALLER than the original (there are size restrictions for this particular artist call) that of COURSE I revised from the original to have better composition, because the original one has this giant dead space in the uppper left corner that has always sort of bugged me.

In high school I had this super southern South Carolina drawlin' lady as my senior/AP art teacher, and she told me one day in her class "Printy, you tend to bite off more than you can chew... and then you chew it." Which is-- I think that's intended to be a compliment????

I think i'd be 7x12.
