❝ AND just what makes you think that I have it? ❞
"If I were to be so bold as to confess to you," he began after a moment of silence, walking alongside her; "that I find I have a preference of seeing you polluted with your hair unbound, tell me: how likely would it be for a fluke to graduate to a habit?"
The apples of Anna’s cheeks became flushed, her hands sheepishly beginning to stroke her wavy locks, letting her fingers brush through the strands as a soft smile replaced her sudden surprised expression. It wasn’t often that she wore her hair down as it was, at least according to her husband and society, improper for a lady of status to do so. Even in her vast reading of books and lessons by her tutor, she never once understood this rule of womanhood. What was wrong with letting your hair down? Was it such a scandalous thing to do that was truly a scandalous thing to do? Were men really so allured by this simple act?
“Well…”, she finally managed to say after being taken aback, “…I suppose I could try and let my hair down more often. Only around my home though. Lord knows I don’t need those high status ladies to have yet another branch to add to their gossip tree.”
@princeisles ---- lets get this party started, shall we?
Another duke she’d had to remember the name and title of, and she wishes Kai were at her side as she greeted the seemingly endless stream of men and women wishing to formally congratulate the new Queen of Arendelle on her ascension. But he had other things to attend to, and while he had been a father figure for many years, she was Queen now. There was no time for such things anymore. At least she wasn’t being forced to dance with any of them. But of course, an off hand statement in a moment of relief was overheard by someone, and it takes but a second for Elsa to straighten her posture, fold her hands in front of her skirts, and try to assess the situation.
And yet, through that stony mask of calm as she tried to internalise her panic at being approached so casually, which had never ever happened before, a small smile manages to form on painted lips as he speaks of writing a missive to the Pope. A clever idea, but perhaps not one best suited to this particular situation, to a young woman slightly overwhelmed by just how many people had been in attendance today.
“While an excellent idea, sir, I do believe the Pope has much more important matters to attend to than that of how many people attend a coronation ball. There is a reason that a ruler is advised to separate church from state, after all.”
She chooses to watch the crowd for but a moment more before turning her gaze to her right ---- and up a little ways, naturally ---- to get a better look at her current companion, blue brooch glinting in the candlelight of the ballroom.
“I don’t believe we’ve had the pleasure of meeting... Your Grace? My Lord? Highness? Do forgive me, I lack the ability to simply guess the titles of my guests outside of those I’ve known for most of my life.”

“Do you intend to vocalize every thought? Or just the most obvious ones?”
@princeisles || :3c Oh ?
And so, likely for the first time in a solid handful of minutes, King Magnifico falls silent: mid-sentence, at that, with a flurry of surprised—if not mildly impressed—blinks at the other as if he's only just now checking Hans has nothing more to add.
What was a good way to put this . . . ? I apologize for speaking while you're interrupting—
He keeps the playful comment to himself, nevertheless, and only once he's determined that one interruption has cut into his monologue for the mere purpose of bringing it to cease does Magnifico say more. “Ah, forgive me.” His tone pleads otherwise. Pleasant, certainly, though hardly apologetic. “I do tend to lose myself when I've gotten on a topic . . . but if you've had anything of your own to vocalize, you should know I welcome it.”
A steady gaze gauges the mood of his companion, and something as equally playful as that unvocalized remark twitches on the corner of his lips. “Or is it pure silence you're seeking—? Let's be clear with our intentions, yes?”

@princeisles asked: "You know, for a pampered princess, you have a certain gift for violence."
It took everything in Anna's power to resist letting her hand collide with Hans' face as she had done some years prior. But given that she was now the ruler of Arendelle, she decided it was best to swallow her anger, push her shoulders back and hold her head high as she made her response.
"First off; It's Qualified Queen and secondly; SAYS THE MAN WHO TRIED TO KILL MY SISTER AND I."

@princeisles asked: "Perhaps we can grow to love each other."
Anna paced back and forth, the heels of her boots threatening to burn a hole in the carpet, her head pounding against her skull and heart racing a mile a minute.
To say the princess was upset was an understatement. She was livid.
If only she had Elsa's magic, the young princess could cast a spell and run away from all her worries. And yet, Anna was completely ordinary, which meant that she had to suffer through this cruel twist of fate; A marriage between her and the frozen hearted prince.
"Stupid council.....stupid document.......ARGH! Why did I sign it back then?! Why did YOU sign it-you know what, don't answer that. Don't say anything, cause it's just gonna make me madder. Just....just...ARGH!"
Haphazardly removing her wedding veil, she tossed it in the princes face and began her frustrated pacing once more. "Why why why?! I could be living a peaceful life with my sister and now, I'm stuck with you till death do us part apparently!"
Her fingers dug themselves into her temples, trying to cease the constant screaming inside her mind.
"And how can you even say something like that anyways?! I don't love you and you, clearly, don't love me. That should have been the end of our story. What was the council thinking?! What was...." Her temper began to die down, sorrow quickly filling the void and she lifted the petticoats of her gown and collapsed onto the floor. "What was...I thinking?"
