i do not but i have More gay things it’s cool i gotchu. sometimes stevie girl (the best dog in the world) cries when i get home bc she’s so excited & then puts the crown of her head on the middle of my chest to be pet. last thursday olivia & i watched handmaids tale together & she let me ramble for like 30 mins abt how amazing the recursion in it is. when i was in nyc for a night last week i had an interview which went well & then i went to my friend’s apartment & we had beers & watched glee & buzzed my hair bc i wanted to & then i got up at 6 am the next morning & talked to cole on the phone while i caught a bus back to baltimore & it was raining where we both were, some kind of same-ness. we’ve known each other & loved each other in some kind of big way for years & that allows for small soft wants & fears & hurts & how remarkable is it to have someone like that? abbigail is moving back east so i’ll see her for my birthday in two weeks. my friend emily just went to a memorial service for her favorite college professor & the same weekend she was back on campus there was also a lettuce eating competition so. my point is that, even when things seem terrible, or low, or shitty (& i’ve 100% been there, i’m there all the time still) there’s just a big weird soft world out there. dogs & ppl who make ur chest feel a little less like stones & moments where nothing makes any sense at all but u have to laugh bc who tf even schedules a lettuce eating competition? there are big sweaters & rainy days & the ability to watch the first three eps of the handmaids tale obsessively. there’s wine & cappuccino & bagels & falafel & ive had all of these in the past day but i also Love them so that’s cool. the world is big & terrible but it’s also full of tiny pockets of laughter & calm & the kind of soft warm that’s like your favorite tshirt straight out of the drier.
& look–i turn 24 in two weeks, which i literally never thought would happen. stevie is panting rn bc she got excited over her toy just siting on the floor & its warm bc it’s spring. i have finally figured out how to properly shape my brows. lana is recording songs abt the texture & heft & grit & beauty of life. cole & i get to fall in love w another lorde album this summer. i move to nyc in a month. there is just. so much. life is so much. stevie just curled up next to me in bed. it’s warm enough to wear shorts later. it’s quiet, it’s full. my friend maddie & i share a birthday & last year i bought her a star.
