it is he! him! and that dorsal stripe!
My character Cirrus in his unicorn form as he was gifted with the glamor of a unicorn by a dying unicorn to guard it’s ward. Cirrus can become a centaur, unicorn, or take on an elvish form (not an elf though).Â
Unicorns in my world are predatory and have the jaws of a wolf, but can wear the glamour of a beautiful equine to ‘trick’ thier prey.Â

How might one tell apart chestnut duns from bay duns? (If there is a visible difference)
In duns, only the body is diluted so the points are the same colour as they would be on a non-dun horse. Bay duns have black points and primitive markings while red duns have non-diluted chestnut-coloured points and markings.

How can you tell the difference between bay with primitive markings and dun? Or any similar colour/markings?
A bay dun (E/_ A/_ D/_) is a bay base with the dun dilution: primitive markings but also a lighter coat, lighter portions of hair in the mane and tail, and sometimes a dark mask.
A bay with primitive markings (E/_ A/_ nd1/_) is a bay base with no dilution, a normal bay colouring, only a dorsal stripe (most of the time, and sometimes leg stripes):
