Percival knows all too well what it's like to lose a sister; no matter how much it physically pains him, he'll fight to make sure Abigail's alright.

"Sounds like a dream way to die." Unlike Maxwell, Percival took on a more... provocative role in tricking William. He took advantage of his repressed desires, his low self confidence, and his desire to be more and used it to his advantage. Their relationship was interpersonal, complex, and Percival pushed William to his absolute limit, coercing him into doing his bidding: forcing others into the Constant, stealing, and he even got him to murder a man. It's unfortunate Charlie butted into Percival's plans: he could've gotten William to do so much more. Of course, Percival's romantic feelings towards William were a farce, but William's feelings for Percival were very real. Their confrontation was a long time coming-- one that ended in William taking Percival's place. He could never truly hate him.
