These pretzel buns with cheddar bacon stuffing are the ideal balance of cheesy and savory flavors. Perfect for fans of bacon and cheese!
Ingredients: 1 pound pizza dough. 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled. 1 cup shredded aged Wisconsin cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup baking soda. 1 cup hot water. Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 425F 220C. Divide the pizza dough into 8 equal portions and flatten each into a small disc. Place a portion of crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese in the center of each dough disc. Fold the edges of the dough over the bacon and cheese, sealing tightly to form a bun. In a separate bowl, dissolve the baking soda in the hot water. Dip each stuffed bun into the baking soda solution, ensuring it's fully coated. Place the coated buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top of each bun for that classic pretzel flavor. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the buns are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious Cheddar Bacon Stuffed Pretzel Buns!

These Vegetarian Sloppy Joes on Pretzel Buns are a tasty and meatless take on the original sloppy joe. They are full of flavor and texture. The TVP has the texture of ground meat, and the slightly sweet and sour tomato sauce goes well with the meaty filling. When served on toasted pretzel buns, they are a hearty and heavy meal.
Ingredients: 1 cup textured vegetable protein TVP. 1 cup hot water. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 small onion, chopped. 1 small green bell pepper, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes. 2 tablespoons tomato paste. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 1 tablespoon chili powder. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 pretzel buns, split and toasted. Sliced pickles and shredded lettuce for garnish.
Instructions: Put hot water into a bowl and add TVP. Leave it alone for 10 minutes. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. It will take about 5 minutes of cooking after adding the chopped onion and bell pepper. Put in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, until the garlic smells good. The dried TVP, tomato paste, brown sugar, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper should all be mixed in. Let the mixture simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring every now and then, until it gets thick. To put it together, put the vegetarian sloppy joe mix on top of the toasted pretzel buns. Add lettuce shreds and sliced pickles on top. Enjoy while hot!

These vegan pretzel buns are soft, chewy, and perfect for sandwiches or as a side with soups and salads. The boiling step gives them that classic pretzel flavor and texture.
Ingredients: 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 cup warm water. 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast. 2 tbsp brown sugar. 1 tsp salt. 2 tbsp baking soda. Coarse salt, for topping.
Instructions: Add yeast, brown sugar, and warm water to a mixing bowl. Wait five minutes until it foams up. Mix the yeast with the flour and salt. For about 5 to 7 minutes, knead the dough until it becomes smooth. Cut the dough into six equal pieces, and then roll each piece into a ball. Set the oven to 425F 220C and heat it up. Bring water to a boil in a large pot, then add baking soda. When the dough balls are ready, put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then, use a slotted spoon to take them out of the baking soda water and set them on the sheet. Add coarse salt to the boiled buns. After the oven is hot, bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Before serving, let the pretzel buns cool down a bit.
