Skunk randomly goes on long trips with their boyfriend and girlfriend and they only tell Preston and Leslie like mere hours before they leave. Leslie knows that she can't try to convince Skunk not to go because that will just make them firmer in their decision, she has to be supportive or Skunk pulls away. Preston on the other hand doesn't understand that, so he tries to convince Skunk to stay and not go with their partners because he doesn't trust them.

I’m so glad I posted Preston’s little bio!  He’s one of my favorites! He’s the character that inspired me to work on the MItchells in general. He is more than just a male version of Rosaylie sksksks but there’s a lot of her influence there. The stakes are a lot different of course, but there’s still a lot of similarities. Rosaylie doesn’t want to run her family’s cartel, she’s been fighting this fate for as long as she can remember. Preston absolutely doesn’t want to take over the business. He’s worried that he won’t succeed. Or that he’ll lose a massive part of himself. So he acts out, spending time with his girlfriend, Valerie, doing no good. He has severe anxiety problems, whereas Rosaylie is bipolar. Both of their mental health issues have a major play in how they view the world (obviously). Preston’s father ignores his anxiety and belittles him for his mental health problems. He doesn’t think men can suffer form these things, and this has heavily impacted Preston and how he deals with his anxiety and whatever else is lingering. Recently though, he’s been seeing a therapist secretly after having a massive panic attack while with Valerie and her family. I will probably post the most about Preston and Leslie as they are my favorites but Joanna is becoming a close third!
