Addiction to the [Social] Cigarette
Social media is the social cigarette.
Segregating yourself to be alone...
To withdraw from the natural togetherness of communication without this distraction...
The belief that it’s needed, like blood in the veins...
It’s not an obligation.
It’s a choice that our fingers chose to do, rather than use our mouths to speak language.
Live outside that “cigarette” box that you justify for escape-
Don’t pick up the [social] cigarette.
Enjoy life for what it is because all you truly have is now
-every “cig” is a moment puffed puffed away-

Call me basic, but one of my favorite things to do all December is watch classic holiday movies, or even the cartoon holiday movies like I’m a lil kids again 🎥 There’s nothing better than Christmas jammies, hot chocolate, a cozy blanket, and a family movie night. It’s these moments that remind me to slow down and live in the moment, because these days will go fast and I don’t want to miss a thing. Bonus points if you get to dress your fur baby in their cutest Christmas outfit! What is your favorite holiday movie? 🍿
Where are all of my holiday-loving peeps at?! 🎄 I get so giddy when December 1st rolls around because I truly love everything about this season! Decorating the tree, watching holiday movies, and scoping out all the awesome light dispalys are some of my absolute favorite things about this season. This year, I’m on a mission to be fully present and enjoy the heck out of every day. ❤️ What do you love most about the holidays? Tell me in the comments below. 👇🏼

Present Under Past and the cycle going on...
I met an Aztec warrior who loved maize. She was forced to sacrifice a brilliant young women, her youngest daughter, while they were still 39. When I looked her in the eyes I couldn’t tell if she was a friend or foe. That’s how fierce a warrior she was. We came from opposite spectrums but the one language we had in common was war. Surrounded by the mad, we knocked each foe in the institution down till we were faced with each other. She had gone through so much in her present life and she knew me because of the pain I went through in my past one. I am the reincarnation of my mother’s mother, who was massacred in the Khmer Rouge while she was only 3 years old. Miss V lived through the Civil Rights era, and I told her we were allies because we know pain. Cambodians do of course. Just like the blacks. Allies in color, and allies through pain. Friends forever. You see, it’s all in the eyes...
