"Well, how do you know it's that big an issue?" the magician asked, shifting her grip on the phone slightly.

If Liam was here, he would have thrown a fit upon seeing her trying to drive and talk at the same time and likely would have demanded the wheel. Of course, given that their travels together began when she'd accidentally grazed him with her mother's car, he had more to support his argument than most had. Then again, the man had also shot out of nowhere without a warning at such a speed that she likely wouldn't have stopped in time even if she had been focused. 

"It's a spirit," she grumbled into the phone, "An animal ghost."

It had been like this day in and day out for months. She'd thought she'd learned her lesson about doing this after the incident with Liam, but what was she supposed to do when she was pulling triple duty with school, a part-time job, and being a magician. She'd been hoping to get some rest this afternoon, but of course as soon as she'd pulled out of the school parking lot, Dakota had given her a call about the supernatural issue.

"It's meowing at you. Well, that is a major problem, isn't it?" she sighed, "What do you think you should do about it? How about you make dog sounds?" Ruby rolled her eyes. "Well, I'm sorry I'm being unpleasant this afternoon, but I still have to go to work, you know. Just leave it alone for right now if it's not bothering yo-- SHIT!"

The magician slammed on brakes as she noticed someone crossing the road. Her attention then fully returned to the task at hand and she climbed out of the diver's seat and slammed the door behind her.
