The only thing worse than losing your favorite rooster is being responsible for his demise. I was so focused on getting the guinea hen flock inside last night that I forgot to close the door to the pen where George roosts. Something got him early this morning (bobcat or coyote). Just him, all the hens are fine, so probably not a raccoon. He was a BIG gorgeous bird, calm and quiet — one of my favorites.
One of his sons will replace him, but it won’t be the same.
The Detroit Red Wings are on my T.V. right now. LET THE PLAYOFFS BEGIN!!!
