#predator 2010

My theory is that some clans, those who have divergent views of the honor codex, or possibly Badblood clans, will ritually hunt and kill predators from other clans as a way to bless the beginning of a Hunt, and demonstrate their own perceived superiority.

Ok, so everyone remember the  Crucified predator from Predators (2010)?

So, we the viewer get to meet Cruci when he is already strung up in the Super Predator’s camp, a captive/trophy.  What we didn’t get to see in that film is how exactly he got there.   However, there was an animated short film that does go over the events before the live action movie, (link will be below) and in that short film we see that Cruci was also being hunted on the game preserve planet.

Likely he was airdropped in just like all the other captured prey.  We see the three Super Predators hunt him down, trap him, and then crucify him to that totem as their trophy. Likely they fully intended to let him die slowly from starvation or dehydration.  What is important is that he was a different subspecies of predator from his captors. Cruci is a Jungle Hunter yautja.  So why does that matter?

Well. In Predator: Killer of Killers, we get a brief look at the Captive predator who gets his head blown off in the arena before the three humans begin their battle.

 I noticed that this captive predator is shorter than his jailors, and he has obviously been harshly treated during his unwilling stay with them.  What was interesting to me though was his EYES. They are solid black. His captors, however, all have red eyes.  This makes me curious if Captive is actually another variety of predator?

I brushed off my very, very dusty AO3 after watching Predator: Badlands. Very good movie. Loved every part of it to the point something possessed me and I wrote 2k words in a span of three days.

Best way I can describe this fanfic set in the general Predator verse is that it's a neat murder mystery :)c

Like look at the 2010 super predator and then look at the 2018 one. I'm just really disappointed that they didn't take advantage of special effects makeup and fabrication.

The thing on the totem. It wore some kind of camouflage that adjusted to ambient light. Made it nearly invisible in our spectrum. It could see in infrared. Heat signatures. He used mud to block his. That's how he beat it. It hunted and killed his team, one by one
