I'm an artist who has learned the art of paper cutting, I recently created two impressive portrait pieces using only black chart paper and a sharp knife.
The first portrait is of Jamie Lever, an Indian comedian artist. The portrait is quite large, measuring 1 and a half square feet, and it took me 6 hours to complete. To create the portrait, I first had to find a reference image to work from. Once the reference was found, I carefully cut out the negative and positive spaces from the black chart paper to create a detailed and realistic likeness of Jamie Lever. The end result is a stunning portrait that showcases my skill and attention to detail.
The second portrait created by me is a smaller piece, measuring only 8 inches square feet in size. This portrait features a woman's face, bowed down with her eyes closed. Despite its smaller size, this portrait is no less intricate or impressive. It took me 3 hours to complete, and once again, the process involved careful cutting of the negative and positive spaces to create a realistic likeness of the woman's face.
Creating paper cutting art pieces like these requires a great deal of patience, skill, and concentration.
