Yeah, it’s getting a little out of hand now. I don’t think the vast majority of these people in town are following real-world American politics because they don’t have to. I mean their town is almost always invisible to the rest of the world or just blocked off in some way or another. I mean the last episode just showed that they don’t really care about how things work in our world and shoved a mother with a 3 day old newborn into the position of mayor/electrician because that’s how things would have been done in their world.Â
On another note, can you imagine a Monty Python reference where King Arthur is parading around town trying to claim himself as ruler of Storybrooke and someone shouts out, “I didn’t vote for you!”Â
I really don’t want another 10 confessions comparing characters to politicians and I’ve gotten a few that literally have nothing to do with Regina or the show. Okay, so I think the main reason why people overlook Regina's abuse is because young!Regina was played by Lana. They don't see her as a 16 or something year old girl. Which might be why they don't found Leopold is even a bit of an asshole.
I'm going to answer this publicly for weigh in, because I'm very bias on this. But, I thought that Lana did 16 very believable. I think it's like how people like Bae but hate Neal? Or something like that idk...

So, as SQ shipper, do all these negative Regina confessions bug you at all? They don't really bug me, it's OP opinion, but ugh some of them are so repetitive.
They really don't bug me at all, because everyone has their own opinion. I just hate that almost all of them say the same thing but worded differently. This is more about the ones that haven't been posted but remain in the inbox than the ones that are already posted, though they definitely get repetitive too.Â
Although the one that bothers me the most is when people send in "I ship ___" or "I love ___" or "I miss ___" and I have to delete them because then I feel bad for deleting simple positive confessions. I just can't post "I miss ___" twelve times because it's literally the same confession with a different picture. That's another one where I say PLEASE expand your confession and add on more to it because three or four word confessions about your ship or character have more than likely already been posted unless they're a newer ship or character. I know you miss Graham, but why? You love Hook? Why? You ship Swan Queen? Why?Â
I don't specifically think he was "cruel." That's a little harsh, and he must be in a bit of an emotional state himself. I think he was a little insensitive, but so is Regina.
