His mum didn’t really care abt the fact that R would always help in the kitchen, or with the Christmas decorations, or that she has a knack of always bringing her the most thoughtful gifts

She doesn’t really care that she might be a bit chaotic, always with a smile on her face, always the first to play with the kids

She does however care about the way R looks at Bucky, the way she pecks him on the cheek, or how she always tucks that stray strand behind his ear without even thinking when they’re talking

She cares about the pure love that is in both their eyes when they look at each other and how her son always seems to be happy, at peace, entirely content when he’s holding her hand

R’s mum on the other hand, after raising this hellbent child is so relieved to see the balance Bonky brings in her daughter’s life

The way he can easily calm her down, the way he knows exactly how much to play along with her games before she goes ballistic, the way R searches for his fingers or some sort of physical contact whenever they’re close

She cares about the way they smile at each other, the way they whisper each other’s names and the utter love R feels for this massive puppy

And when The Mums meet, oh god, they better watch out

Prepare for trouble and make it double because

“When will you give us grandchildren? We’ve been waiting for so long, already! I’m not getting any younger here!”

“Ma’am, you already have three grandchildren!”

“Oh, don’t start with me, James. I need some blue eyed babies to play with.”

They wouldn’t stop complaining for the rest of the night, who even cares about the party anymore?

They’d just like their children to get their shit together and have some babies already!!!!!!

R & Bonko would avoid them at all costs, they can get pretty scary

“Oh, they’ll see. Telling us they’re ‘just friends.’ Please! I haven’t seen anyone more smitten than those two dum dums in my life.”
